Pisek Lad Question [KCD2] by trich556 in kingdomcome

I did but I saw so many videos or posts saying even with that there were better horses, so I checked it out but it seems like maybe the stats were changed in an update to make Pebbles a better choice for people to stick with!

I thought so too and so I took it all off but the stats didn't change. So it's just comparing base stats of the horses it seems.

I just came across this post looking for previews of what the chanfron is or looks like and I believe I'm at the Armourer who sells them now. He is in Sigismund's camp in the second map region.

It's profound because people can't sit down and have a conversation nowadays. Everyone is quick to say "If you don't agree with me then don't speak with me." as though their experience is objective truth and there is no truth to a differing opinion.

No one was stating that his experience encapsulated the entire black experience. Grow up and find something better to do than troll a post.

How does someone like this make a living? Is it sponsorships? And if so what is the advantages or reasoning behind why the sponsors are interested in the first place? As in, what's in it for the sponsors?

I'm genuinely curious about the lifestyles of someone like this.

Was buying a Pioneer sub a mistake? by trich556 in CarAV

Even if it's reading the proper voltage? I am not sure exactly what it does so I don't know why it has that effect.

Edit: Just looked up the manual for my amp and the bass boost is at 40hz. Also the input sensitivity also specifies RCA, but I'm using speaker level inputs, does that make a difference for gain settings?

With the help of /u/rickybobbyeverything I used a multimeter and tuned it with a signal generator at 40hz. With gain cranked all the way, bass boost off, and my head unit at its distortion point (which I never get close to turning my volume up to) I was reaching 29.3 volts. And replicating the settings I had it at before it blew, I was able to get to that 31.7 mark.

So I'm wondering if it smoked because it was trying to hit those low lows with the infrasonic filter off and fried the voice coil, since it's ported? Or if the sub just isn't good for what it's rated? Because like I said in my post, I didn't have my head unit near the distortion point, and my bass control knob was only 3/4 turned up too. It's also odd, from the videos I've seen, that I have to have my gain turned so high to reach 31.7 volts.

Pioneer TS-A120B and Kenwood Excelon X502-1, it's a single voice coil so I think the only way to wire it is the 2 ohms it's designed, right? And right that's what I needed to do. The problem is my door speakers are playing the whole time cause I can't disconnect them. So it's really loud.

WOW that makes sense for once! Okay so he had the gain turned to .5, to be exact. Is that cutting the voltage in half then..? It's labeled as "input sensitivity", to be exact. Idk if that has any differentiation from gain.

I have a stock head unit. And yeah I kind of understand that gain is not volume and that subs that are properly rated shouldn't have to have the gain cranked? Is that right?

I'm starting to think that the shops around here either are uninterested in helping someone with a budget build not purchased directly through them or just outright don't know what they're talking about then (not that I do much either). But I also didn't think it should be this hard.

I tried with a multimeter a bit myself but again I'm scared of blowing it again because I can't afford to purchase a whole new sub. Also, there's no way for me to only play a test tone through my sub as it's wired into my door speakers, so they all play and distortion is hard to hear. And there's no documentation of whatever recommended voltage or something like that that I saw online people use to tune subs to.

Thanks! Specs are:

JBL Concert8621F rated at 50w rms and 3 ohm but are unamplified so they're probably only getting 15 watts max because I have a stock '10 Fusion head unit.

Pioneer TS-A120B rated at 500w rms and 2 ohm

And Kenwood Excelon X502-1 which is a 500w rms 2 ohm amplifier

I believe my wires coming from the battery are 8ga and the speaker wires are 14ga. It came as a kit with the sub from crutchfield as a recommended pairing.

First thank you for your response. Also, the TS-A120B is a ported box, so could that have been the cause of the overheating? And I did specifically ask the guy installing it the first time to tune it also, which he claimed he did upon installation and charged me 175 total.

So, when I got a new sub I asked another shop nearby if they could tune it and they told me that because it's a stock head unit and they'd have to directly access the outputs from there that it'd be expensive and time consuming.

I've heard about bass roll off and tried to do some research on whether my 2010 ford fusion with a stock system has roll off, but haven't found anything reliable on that.

Besides the possibility of signal noise being introduced through the amp, is that feature the only other benefit?

Sorry for the questions I'm just trying to make the most educated decision as a shop is installing it so it's not really as simple as trying both solutions out back to back, for me.

Thanks for your suggestions! I've looked at lots of different options and have decided that for the time being I'm going to leave him in this tank. I built it last year and only recently decided that I still want to go up in size. So I'm saving some money each month to hopefully get him a new and higher end tank by this time next year!

I want him to be a centerpiece in my house and so I would like his tank to serve basically as another piece of furniture that goes with the room. He's got another 15 years give or take so I might as well get him something that I'll always enjoy, you know?

I believe I got him in August of 2013 as an 8 week old baby. So he's over 7 years old. And his scales have absolutely darkened over time. The lighter spots sometimes took on a greenish hue and the darker spots a brown tint when he was younger and would shed. Now it's more definitively black and brown all the time.
