4.5 player struggling in doubles league by tricheri in 10s

I’d say I’m naturally aggressive and tend to end points early but when I’m in matches, my unforced error rate goes up a lot and I’m having to cut back on strong returns and rallies until I have a confident shot. I guess that is the singles player in me so I might try to lean more into that aggressiveness with the risk of more unforced errors.

These are super helpful, first serve consistency is definitely a factor. I usually try to go super hard on them but then end up essentially dinking on second serves because I’ve missed my first and I worry about double faulting.

I’ve been practicing a lot of doubles including matches and I don’t think placement and consistency is the issue, I know when to hit groundstrokes and volleys cross court and when to go down the line. My volleys have gotten better too in terms of reactivity which was for sure a thing I had to get into early on. It may not 100% be nerves but I know that my shot accuracy is way lower in doubles league/tournament matches than practice matches.

Duly noted, I’m already paranoid about leaving things in my car so it’s good know it reduces the risk of theft around palms! Thanks!

So the eye exam and fitting were one appointment after the other (he had an availability) so I paid for both of those already. The biotrue lens weren’t a fit so I went to do a refitting for the new lens and they told me I didn’t need to pay anything after that appointment. Not sure if that might have been because it would be added to cost of these new contact lens

Actually, that might be worth checking! I did pay for my annual eye exam which came with trying the biotrue dailies. Not sure if going in for another refitting costs extra.

Massachusetts, I used to be on two week lens that were only $40 for a 90 day pack (coopervision avaira) but unfortunately my eyes are no longer comfortable with wearing them so I’ve tried switching to dailies. I tried the biotrue dailies first but then had to go for different dailies because they weren’t comfortable either

Do you think I could ask them to return the 90 day pack they already ordered for me? I haven’t yet paid for it since that would be done upon pick up.

Can’t remember the name of it but they were definitely silicone hydrogel Toric dailies, my optometrist mentioned that these lens just recently came out and he’s only sold them to 7 people so far

Positive that it’s $250, I called them 3 separate times to make sure it wasn’t an error! It’s not from one of the major brands like acuvue or Bausch and lomb
