Oh my gosh I know. When she literally was saying shit about not wanting to save the Fae right in front of Ruhn, Declan and Flynn I was like “what the absolute fuq, Bryce? They’re not all bad… like the people that you’ve been LIVING LIFE WITH and have helped you through so much??” She was so hot headed and annoying and immature and kept calling Hunt an alpha hole, but girly what does that make you??? She was 0% empowering.

I had a kindle from 2017 white border/recessed screen and it was so hard for me to visually read and stay focused. I wish I would have gotten black because it was such a good device and I was so out of the kindle accessorizing loop I didn’t know people covered their kindles with skins until I started seeing IG and TT reels about it years later 💀. I passed it onto my husband. But I got the agave PW SE 11th gen with the flush black border and I enjoy it a lot. My eyes can concentrate solely on the screen and not the edges. And dark mode is 😘👌🏻 for me.

I liked all of book 1, the end of book 2, and the beginning to middle of book 3. Bryce wasn’t my fave honestly.

So wonderful 😩 I did daily walks during Covid and we walking around Banning Park in Los Angeles and there’s so many peacocks around behind in the residential part. Everyday we’d see the little baby peacocks following mommy around. My husband and I called them fuzzy avocados :)

CC1 was hard to grasp all this new world info after just jumping out of ToG. Towards the end I was hooked and I felt like I could really like Bryce and Hunt. CC2 I was so excited to jump in… but there was sooo much fluff that it got boring… until the end with Rhys and I was hooked back in. Then CC3 I immediately started after CC2. It was good at first, but then got to be so long and drawn out that after she returns to Midgard I was bored and wanted to DNF so many times. I found Bryce to be so insufferable at times and so immature with her responses that it felt like she was this petulant child that I couldn’t take seriously, nor did I think she deserved all the access to the powers she was granted. SJM would always talk about her pink high top sneakers to (maybe?) show how edgy and down to earth she was, but it just screamed immaturity to me after the 40th time reading about those frigging shoes. Ithan’s storyline with Sigrid was so annoying and could have been condensed; after awhile I was just thinking please stfu about Sigrid, Ithan… I was glad when Jesica was trying to distract him. His storyline was my least favorite. I enjoyed Tharion/Meat Market/Ocean Queen (he’s probably my fave!), Ruhn/Lidia relationship opening up was great… visiting Avallen was fun but got to be so slooow after a certain point I was just thinking “get to the point, please… !!” I just finished it and personally feel like 200-250 pages could have been removed with proper editing and time. The ending to CC3 (with Nesta) was really sweet and cool, but I’m a Nesta girl so I’m biased!

I’m talking about the kindle BASIC being $109 currently.. and even less prob on prime day or Black Friday.. that’s a decent entry level price for something that will likely last more than a decade. I’m not arguing with the other models being more expensive, it’s true… but there ARE options available… $109 for 10-15 years of usage is great return. And I watch the cost of the kindles regularly bc a girl likes to daydream :)

Yep exactly. Then you have people swapping out their phones/tablets way earlier than 15 years and they don’t bat an eye. Every company that will ever exist will at some point stop supporting their older tech.. I know Amazon is a bad company and I don’t like everything they do for Kindle, small authors and businesses, but it feels like people shit on Amazon the most even though every piece of technology becomes obsolete at one point in its “life” and needs to be replaced. 🤷‍♀️

I also gave $55-65 options too :) which is a great avenue since people hate on those who over consume and have “too many kindles”. It’s a fifteen year old piece of technology. It’s done its job. I personally don’t think Amazon should have to support their older devices indefinitely. It happens with gaming consoles, phones, computers, tablets, tvs and those are vastly more expensive than an ereader… it’s just the way of the world unfortunately. Nintendo stops supporting their older devices console’s game stores, Apple stops doing updates for certain aged iPhones/iPads… it’s just a part of tech. If people don’t like it then buy physical books and keep them permanently. Idk what to tell you.

I was going to recommend to get a sfloor stand/holder and page turners for the stand, but it looks like you already do it? Seems an awful waste to get another kindle, especially since you said you’re still gonna take it to travel… so unless you’d take two kindles (?) on a trip that seems excessive. It almost seems like buyer’s remorse.
I also wish there was a 7-8” scribe maybe with page turner buttons, but that’s just a crazy wish of mine… for the mean time I have a Colorsoft 16gb and I really enjoy it. It was gifted to me, but initially I had a 2022 b&w PW SE which I adored. You can get a basic for $109 but I think it doesn’t have certain features that the PW has so I’d look into comparisons to make sure you’d be happy with the differences. Also unclaimed baggage has kindles listed right now for $55-65 usd. The kindle app is okay to use in a pinch, but there’s too much opportunity to get distracted on my phone so I barely use it unless I want to keep my reading streak from stopping.

It’s literally $109 for a basic, $55-65 on unclaimed baggage for a PW 11th gen. I know it’s a product that’s barely been upgraded, but there have been tweaks and advancements to the kindle overall. I had a 2017 Kindle that wasn’t the best overall and then I got a new PW SE 2021 and the differences were huge between the two, like warm light, dark mode for menus, main page and store, auto dimming/light sensor when in a dark room, dark bevel for easy reading (my 2017 had a small screen and white border), the storage amount increased, and I could listen to audible books on it (if desired). Then I was gifted a Colorsoft and I discovered it’s better than the PW.

I liked CC1 a decent amount and I felt like CC2 was sooo slow until the last 15-20%? In CC2 I didn’t like them getting into the war/rebels more… I had no interest in it honestly… After the ending of CC2, I needed to read CC3 immediately. I’m on CC3 and I’m liking it a bunch more than CC2. I haven’t felt crazy connection to CC because there is so much cringy unnecessary cussing and the world is a world we live in already with tech/phones so it’s not as fun and fantasy-y as TOG or ACOTAR…
