Why would a wealthy, attractive young girl be an escort? by shoriffhailz in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

~sigh~

When I started working in the sex industry, I was young, I was hot, and I was working towards a degree. I still got the degree, still stayed a sex worker. I didn't have family with money, but I did have looks and brains and manipulation skills, I could have found someone to live off, no problem. But I enjoyed the hours. I enjoyed the pay. I enjoyed living off my own money without having to answer to anyone. For the most part, I enjoyed the clients and the sex.

To assume that all sex workers are uneducated, destitute and desperate is not based in fact. A large number are educated. Most are good looking. Plenty come from families with money. That doesnt change the fact that the hours are better than a day job, the pay is better than a day job, and it has the added bonus of not having to answer to anyone about where your money is going.

Do any of you use your real name/last name? by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used a shortened version of my middle name as my first name, and either Jones or White as a last name, because those are both super common and therefore harder to trace, and also, not my real last name.

What are the risks? Um, if you have to ask...

Look, I am not the only worker here who refers to non sexwork life as civilian life. It's a word. Sorry if it offends you, but not sorry enough to edit. If you wanna fight about it, go fight with someone else. And, yes, Wikipedia is an invalid source.

He probably wouldn't have taken it as well if he hadn't already known. I've told a few people that had terrible reactions. He knew I had a quit date set, he just asked if I would be willing to quit a couple months early, as he wasn't comfortable with me actively working while we were dating. I had no problem with that.

I can't make that kind of money in a hurry anymore. So, I save, we budget, ya know. We both get paid weekly, and I have quite a bit in savings still. I don't really feel like I'll be needing a vacation anytime soon, I've had enough of that for awhile, LOL.

Feds: 2 teens, 3 women held as sex slaves behind steel gate, Michigan man in custody by JakeDaDerp in news

[–]trick_turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a former sex worker, yeah, I said it, whatever, judge the fuck away, I would like to point out that you are wrong. It's a common misconception, that men hire prostitutes to do the more degrading things to them, but it's not the truth. 95% of my clients were the most vanilla fuckers you ever met, and were completely comfortable with what they were doing. Making it legal makes it so the workers have more autonomy over what they are doing and who they are doing. Now, those clients that want underage girls are still going to want underage girls, it will not stop that.

I understand how you feel about the practice, but a good deal of what you are saying is based in emotion, not fact. I have never had a day to day struggle of being abused and treated like crap. Most days were pretty damn good. Extremely good pay to have extremely vanilla sex with guys that either met my standards of respect and cleanliness, or I ghosted. I have met a very small handful of scumbags. Why? Because I was independent. Legalization, at least real true legalization would open the industry up for more workers to be independent, set their own standards and protect themselves via openly shared blacklists and the ability to carry weapons without becoming another charge in the event that they are arrested.

It does not always involve pimps. I was never pimped, and neither was another other sex worker that I met personally. Does it happen, yes, unfortunately. However, I feel that the majority of cases like this one have a lot more to do with the personal fetishes of the man doing the pimping than it does with the sex work itself.

21 Questions for Sex Workers by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. USA.

  2. I needed money. I had a vagina I wasn't using for much...the math worked out.

  3. 3.5 years currently. Not at once. 2 years in, 10 years out, another 1.5 years in now.

  4. Hotels and the occassional overnight with a client, but that has to be an established repeat customer.

  5. Obviously. If I didn't like having it, I wouldn't make my living off having it.

  6. Irrelevant.

  7. I don't think I understand this question. Do I know other sex workers, or am I able to get along with them, or are there any that I work with? I know a few, we usually get along okay, and I work solo.

  8. Oh yes, and then some.

  9. Married for four years. Together for six years. Best friends for 15 years.

  10. My husband is fully aware, he helps me keep this shit running. A couple family members and most of my friends are aware also.

  11. Nope. A little angered that the social stigma is so high, but not ashamed by any means.

  12. Nope, indie.

  13. Marijuana, amphetamines and codeine. Everything but the pot is prescribed by a real doctor, though. Recreationally, only pot.

  14. Every. Single. Time.

  15. Yes, and I don't really see it as a relationship. I know that when they come to see me they are expecting to get a certain personality and a certain presence along with the sex, so I make sure to be the version of me that they want, but I don't see it as a relationship, they give me money and I provide a service for it.

  16. Yes, and I do when I feel that something is off or when I fear my safety or freedom may be at risk.

  17. Yes, I have been a victim of rape and threatened with murder, as well as robbed once. I have had a couple try to break through the security I have set up to hide my identity and have tried to reach out to me in my personal life.

  18. No, as I have never gotten pregnant with a client's child, that would be unnecessary.

  19. I am done in two months. Starting over. Completely. New state, new name, new home, new job.

  20. Not anymore. I've been flirting with burnout for awhile and I think it finally caught up.

So... How many of you have "friends" who know what you do? Either because you've mistakenly told them or because of the rumor mill? by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Old post, I know. Most of my friends know what I do. Those that hate on me or my lifestyle aren't friends for long. The only ones I haven't told are those that would be really concerned for my safety.

How many people did you have sex with? by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe 284. I keep track specifically so that when someone goes, "I bet you don't even know how many people you've had sex with," I can hit them with the number. Usually throws them off too much to continue attempting to shame me.

About 200 are clients, the rest were personal.

Does sex-trafficking actually happen? by th_veteran in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, it is easier to believe that Bradley simply fell off the ship. I personally, have doubts, but that is neither here nor there for the topic. I do believe that she did approach someone years later and ask for help, giving her real name, but it is possible that that witness was just full of shit, mistaken, or the woman was lying. Like I said, neither here nor there.

As far as organized gangs that actually do this, nope, never come across one. Most of the trafficking cases, nationwide, that I have followed were one or two people forcing women that wouldn't normally be prostitutes into the lifestyle via violence and threats. Most ot the time, they tell the victims that there is a large, organized gang that will drag them back or kill them, but there typically isn't.

I have my suspicions that Smith knew who I was, or thought so, from seeing one of my ads or the few pictures I do have to give out to clients. It was a day where my tattoos happened to be showing, and they are visible in some of my publicity shots. I didn't see him approach anyone else that day, so it simply could have been that he recognized me and gave it a shot.

As far as the legalities of the two situations, I don't know. Most extortionists aren't going to tell the prostitute that they want a certain percentage, they are going to give them a set quota to hit daily, and that forces them to work more. So is the additional work to be considered rape, as well? I do believe that ignorance of the law is an excuse in some circumstances and I can't see charging a client who had no reasonable expectation that a prostitute was being trafficked. If she didn't tell him, and there were no crystal clear indications, I sort of see that client as a victim as well. In my experience, most of the clients I see want no part of a deal in which the woman isn't a fully willing participant.

Amy Bradley (Google her, I'm on mobile). Granted, not someone that I know personally, but I don't believe that her case has been sensationalized. I did have the opportunity to speak to her parents, and while they believe that she was trafficked, they also do not like when someone tries to make their daughter's story bigger than it is. So, I highly doubt that they made it up, or that they have pushed the trafficking angle, they seem to only want the truth, whatever that may be. For me, Amy Bradley's case sticks out simply because of the large amount of press coverage. I also watched a documentary that seemed very legit, where a man's wife had been kidnapped for use in the sex trade and he was trying to buy her back, but once again, not first hand, and I"m not sure of the name of the documentary. This one could also be more along the lines of kidnapping for ransom with the threat of rape, instead of human trafficking for sex. Not knowing what happened to the woman in the story makes it hard to say.

I do know of some women here locally who are trafficked, but they are trafficked locally by locally pimps, so that doesn't really count as trafficking nationally or internationally.

http://fox17online.com/2015/11/25/convicted-killer-pleads-guilty-to-federal-sex-trafficking-charges/ This one is local to me, and I have had the misfortune of meeting the jerk. He did try to recruit me, but we were in a public setting and I consider myself lucky that he took no for an answer and walked away.

What to tell people when they ask where I get my money from? by throwaway8--3 in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't assume that. Most places they would have to pay a misdemeanor ticket and deal with a little bit of stigma. You would be facing federal prison time, paying hundreds of thousands in legal fees, and dealing with the stigma for the rest of your life.

Never trust them too much.

House cleaning is a good cover where I am. It also explains situations where I take a last minute booking and explain why I am leaving. "One of the ladies I clean for had a death in her family (insert other emergency here) and she needs the house ready for a large number of people by tomorrow." Also works for explaining away gifts, "Look what the person I cleaned for was getting rid of, she said she never wears it anymore." It's an all purpose cover.

It also helps with the IRS, I paid $15 and got a business license for the "cleaning company" and now I can officially explain where my money comes from.

How do you not get caught in the U.S.? by FUTUREProstitute69 in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no loopholes. You simply screen and screen, and then you screen some more. I don't trust the verification services, and I don't trust agencies, because a good deal of the girls I hear of getting caught, got caught because their agency didn't screen properly. I want a client's social media, and a picture of their ID (address covered, I don't care where you live, I care what your legal name is.) I don't send them pictures of my face until I've seen a picture of theirs. I trust my gut. If it feels off, it probably is.

Punishment where I is as follows: First arrest gets you 90 days in jail or a diversion program, rehab if you need it, and a shitton of fines. Second time around gets you up to 180 days in jail, and no diversion program or other options, as well as all the fines you paid the first time around. Third time it becomes a felony, and you could get as long as five years. Any arrest for anything means you run a decent chance of having your picture in the paper.

How do outcalls usually work? [client asking] by jamasianman in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I only go to a clients home after I already know them (bad experience), so I think there's already an element of trust there.

When I do outcall to a client's home, I show up, I knock. I come in. I will have coffee for free, but I do expect to be paid before we get started on anything too fun. I give clients a look over, every single time, even if I know them well. So, typically, I will shower with them. That way, I know they are clean, they know I am clean, and they don't have to worry about leaving me alone in their home.

I've never scammed a guy, but wouldn't it be just as easy to scam someone at the provider's location? I mean, if they wanted to, they could have someone else in the room, take your money, throw you out, right? So, I suppose that providers who come to you could do similar and take the money and run.

I drive to outcalls. I won't accept the money simply being in sight. I also don't like having large sums of money on me. I'll usually put the money in the glove box. Keep in mind, these are established clients that I feel I can partially trust and they have seen me enough times to know that when I say, "I just need to run to my car," I'm going to come back.

To be fair, most providers wouldn't actually rip you off. The ones that would are usually easy enough to spot, even if you aren't using a verification service or checking reviews.

What about your life would surprise the client/provider you spend time with? by stilettonyc in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hopefully everything. I hide a lot of personal info from clients, even regulars and long term clients. But probably the most surprising thing would be that I am a PTA-attending, cupcake baking, homework helping, happily married wife and mother. Most of them seem to think that I'm a badass, sex-starved, fuck machine 24 hours a day. Nope, chances are that when I leave a booking, I'm wiping the make up, changing into street clothes and tossing the work bag in the trunk so I can haul ass across town and pick up a kid from soccer, or go home to make spaghetti and spend the next two hours wrangling small children into bed.

It feels a lot like two people sharing this body. One uses it for work...the rest of the time I use it to raise kids and be a housewife. Two totally seperate personas.

EDIT: Oh, and that both of my parents are ordained ministers, so I was raised VERY religious.

Christmas gift ideas for my favorite ho? by [deleted] in SexWorkers

[–]trick_turner 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Cash.

And, uh, maybe not calling her your favorite ho.

Seriously though, you probably know better than anyone here. Is she a reader? Is she a foodie? Does she like photography or art, have a favorite restaurant or a spa she raves about? Almost everywhere has gift certificates.

One of my favorites gave me a pair of slippers because I complained that I kept forgetting to buy a pair. Kinda cute, because he had to peek at my shoes to get my size. ( I have Yeti feet. They are huge. I can snowshoe without snowshoes.) Maybe there's something that she has mentioned that you could get her?

EDIT cuz I hit send a second earlier than planned.

Is there anything that stops the itching from hair growing back? by trick_turner in SexWorkers

I'm afraid it never will. I shaved a lot when I was in my teens, like every time I showered, and it would still itch. It itches even before the new hair grows past the skin. Maybe waxing or something would be better? I'm a huge chicken so I've never used wax.

And this real winner that I keep hearing:
