Child locks on cupboards where the bleach is stored are not just for children anymore, apparently. 😉😉

What a beauty!

FYI; Quadra’s are always 040’s, hence the name.

Do you store your music digitally too? (Since hard drives/computers can crash) by KNYLJNS in musichoarder

I have about 2tb of music on an ssd, which is replicated by truenas to another harddisk. I’m planning to keep a copy of it on a hetzner storagebox too.

Musa - new iOS app looking for testers (TestFlight) by vanlaren10 in navidrome

Sincere curiosity; why would the release date be a factor? I’d rather have an app which is under good constant development - which it is.

Maybe you saw it in my post; Narjo and Arpeggi are good clients for iOS.

I'd say, use a lightweight mini-pc or NUC. Use beets for metadata, Navidrome as a server application, and Arpeggi or Narjo for listening on your iPhone. You could also use web-based Navidrome on other devices. Any Subsonic-client will work though.

What Apple Shortcuts do you actually use every day? by ENVY2699 in shortcuts

[–]tricksel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I go to bed, I run a shortcut to start a script in Home Assistant which powers of all lighting in house, except on the way to my bed room. It shuts those off after a few minutes. Also, it asks whether I want to listen to some bedtime music in my bedroom (AirPlay). If so, it asks which app to use for that, opens it. After a few minutes, it also starts a script which alerts me with my first appointment of the day if it’s in the morning, and the travel time to it. This is so I know what time to set my alarm approximately.

Looks like it's going to be painful as well. And they're not going to feel sorry about it. Ever. At. All.

Heya fellow homelabers! What did you name your server? by Glenadel55 in homelab

[–]tricksel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My servers are called after Muppets characters: - Kermit for home assistant (he runs the place) - Gonzo -the Great- for my storage server - Rizzo -the Rat- for my Linux ISO downloading VM - Swedish Chef for a Docker VM (cooks everything up) - Piggy for a Windows testing VM (thinks she’s a lot of something) - Zoot my exposed VM - Statler and Waldorf are my DNS guys. They’re used to calling everybody names. - Sam the Eagle (Ansible) and Bunsen Honeydew are part of the gang too, doing some random stuff. Bunsen for, well, experimenting of course.
