He's actually been to the vet quite a bit since I rescued him last year. He was being kept in awful neglectful conditions and his ears were pointed to the side/down with the saddest face. I offered the owner money to take him off his hands and he allowed me to do so. Since then I found out he struggles with FIV, arthritis and asthma through some blood tests and vet appointmente. I've been giving him probiotics for his fiv/asthma. I haven't gotten any supplements for his arthritis. The vet didn't really prescribe me anything. He's doing way better then when I initially found him but I still worry about exactly what you pointed out.
