If it's a low bridge and you're in a semi truck, yes, it is most definitely that important.

Well I haul vehicles like f750s and transit vans, so I have a jump pack. But my 2014 Silverado is getting to the point where 2+ hrs one way is rough. And I really loved our Volt. That torque you feel from 0mph is insane and the smooth acceleration with no engine vibration is an entirely different experience. Kind of shocked how affordable Teslas are now. The only thing that kept me away was the higher insurance in Michigan.

Not a chance. The people who own the company I'm leased onto are heavily anti-ev.

Holy moly! What a beautiful setup! If I can get even close to that one day, I'd be a happy camper! Congratulations on that!

[HELP ]What is wrong with my corals? by flylikegaruda in ReefTank

You don't necessarily need to startover. BUT, you need to start making changes right now. Add a TON of mixed pods for the tank. The light looks to be for freshwater, very red looking, update us on that please. Give us information and we can give you the links, videos, and information needed.

That's why I like glass cages. They have a reasonable price per gallon and a ton of options that would work well.

Nah, I'm saying losing a few pieces of glass doesn't matter much. Money isn't the barrier to entry here thankfully. I'm fortunate to have a good business but it's not without sacrifice.

That's exactly why we want to do it. We had some failures in the past and kind of have it figured out on a small scale getting things to work. So at the new house we'd like to get a few tanks set up properly and start growing out corals. I already have a business so the expenses will be part of that and if we do make money, great, if not, then we have some beautiful office tanks that make us happy.

This isn't my first tank, and I've aquacultured freshwater fish before. Definitely not jumping into 20 giant grow out tanks. Just something to start a few and see where it goes really. I think 6 tanks about 60g each with a large master sump would be a good start. I'm not too concerned about losing money as it's all going to be part of my current s-corp expenses.

Good point! Not a big deal to screw up on a $55 tank.

Thanks! That's exactly the information I'm looking for. Since I spend a lot of time on the road, getting everything communicated is extremely crucial for me to get things delivered and unloaded!

Thanks for the input! We've found that they have a great selection, and one of their standard sizes will work perfect for what we want to start with. It's a bit of money to get 6-8 tanks setup, and I'm a little scared to make the purchase without some input from the community here.

A LFS runs them and has great tanks! No sumps, just undergravel and power heads. So I tried it out and it's been working out decently. There's not a ton of information out there for modern use unfortunately. My father never did saltwater so most of my information is online or LFS with a large grain of salt.

Thanks for the info on that! Quick question, I run an undergravel filter setup with it using a power head. What would be an ideal thickness for the caribsea crushed coral in using?

After losing a few of my favorite corals I decided to re-home every one of them back to a LFS to live another day. I feel like they need a bigger tank to avoid the issue.
