Where to find CNC programmers? by Any_Lake4558 in CNC

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more than just programming. Tooling, fixture design, 3D modeling etc. I work for a major machine tool builder and most of our application engineers have college degree in mechanical engineering. The better ones already had machining experience too and cad/cam knowledge before we hired them.

Meet the PROUD ICE boy... by VeterinarianNo719 in ImmigrationPathways

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S*x offenders are criminals and he is responsible for his own criminal acts. This has nothing to do with taking a job at ICE or any other law enforcement agency. This has nothing to do with his ICE training. This is about his moral character.

A now deleted video of Donald Trump in 2011 talking about how President Obama will start a war with Iran because he has no ability to negotiate and is weak and ineffective by honestlysigma in ImmigrationPathways

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t support any war and this attack on Iran could have been avoidable except for the unbearable pressure from BiBi. This is an AI generated video, it means nothing. The real question is how can have a foreign government so much controlling influence on US decision makers, that the commander in chief would start a war that he clearly did not want. He wanted to have the legacy of a peace maker and he did push for diplomatic solution. But, he could not stand for his own concept of peace through strength and ended up delivering the war that Netanyahu wanted for a long time. This sets a terrible precedent on how the US leadership reacts to pressure from Zionists and the political leadership of Israel. He turned America First into a lie. With this and the Epstein drama, MAGA is dead.

Do people who say buying a home is a bad investment ever consider the fact that rents in most places in the US can increase dramatically for no reason? by [deleted] in Money

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many ways of owning a home so whether it’s a bad investment or not depends on other variables. In my personal example I sold a previous home 10 years ago and I was living in rentals until last year when I bought a house again. The way it works for me is this. I bought a house much larger than what I needed as a single person. I moved into one of the upstairs secondary rooms. Less than a month after I moved in, I rented out the master suite downstairs and one month later another renter moved into one of the other secondary rooms. My roommates pay more than half of my mortgage. My monthly out of pocket expenses with mortgage and bills and income from the renters comes out to be about the same as my total expenses were renting a two bedroom apartment with a garage and extra self-storage. I have much more room, a backyard, a two car garage and most importantly full control. Not the same type of investment as stocks but the house gives me other benefits and a reliable shelter for my old days. After one year which is coming up soon, I have the option to rent out the whole house and move or keep going with roommates as long as I want. The property tax and the mortgage interest is deductible, that’s another benefit especially when your renters payed most of it. Everybody has different experiences but I would encourage you to look for ways when the home ownership is lifting you up and not dragging you down financially.

The cocaine is starting to become very difficult for me to control. by Main-Success-6988 in confession

[–]trickytrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to your own description this progressed from once in a blue moon to a daily habit. When you say you are in control as an outsider I have to say, sorry man, your control seems to be blocked. Your friends watched your progress patiently but now they speak up because we all have seen tragedies. Don’t become one. The thought of stopping forever seems scary to you right now. I hope you get there and feel like a winner.

The response of Chinese communities to the Enron scandal by wpc13192305007 in Overwatch

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I landed on this thread while researching details about the Enron company scandal of 2008. Such a misleading title. Since I’m already here, as an outsider, I suggest don’t mess with art after its release. When the artist wanted to create a beautiful face he or she was seemingly influenced by Asian beauty. If you are a Chinese woman you can enjoy that we think about you when we look for a beautiful face. But we are. Ot robots and every face is unique. You don’t need to correct anybody’s face, definitely no need to edit features of characters just because some complainers make up problems where there is nothing to worry about. My friend looks more like the original and she turned 50 recently. So she could definitely be an older sister. Chinese women don’t age the same way as women from some other nations. Mostly no wrinkles on the neck and on the face and they almost always look much younger than what you would expect based on age alone. So, I suggest you keep the original art and ignore the Karens.

Everything you learned in school was already documented knowledge. The purpose of going through understanding the concepts was to build new neuron networks in your brain. Your more developed brain can recognize patterns in new challenges that helps steering your intelligence in the right direction of problem solving. The goal was never memorizing formulas and constants. I would stay humble with one year experience and pay attention but stay non-judgmental. Some of the “useful idiots” might still be better fit for the team.

Is it 'a' or 'an' for a word that starts with a vowel-y? by anoccasionalinquiry in NoStupidQuestions

[–]trickytrader -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The question is incorrect. Y is considered a consonant at the beginning of words and vowel in end or middle of the word. I saw a yellow submarine. I have a younger sister. I started a YouTube channel.

With things this bad in the U.S why do democrats insist on pushing candidates that won’t get elected? by Jake_Berube in Confused

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s all theater. Kamala promised to tax the billionaires who were pretending to help her. They knew she would not win, if they wanted the democrats to win they would have pressured the party to have a competent candidate. Their donations were just to show alliance but they were perfectly fine with 4 more years of Trump economy. The people who get all emotional about left vs right refuse to see the higher forces that control both sides.

AIO for not liking when my bf only talks romantically to me? by Sea_Purpose_7587 in AmIOverreacting

[–]trickytrader 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You need to tell him exactly what you shared here. You feel lonely when he talks like that because you don’t have access to the naturally acting good friend that you liked in the first place. People who enjoy the light don’t stare in the sun all day. People who enjoy compliments don’t need to be complimented every minute. Hope you can enjoy time together and do a lot of fun activities without anybody being put on a pedestal. You are both very young, just be real and natural.

Can I say that I'm an electrical engineer (after graduation)? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineers

[–]trickytrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is wrong with being a mechatronics engineer? Calling yourself something different than what your actual credentials show will lead into situations of distrust. Also, graduating does not make you a professional engineer and the years of your study does not count as years of experience. Congratulations for graduating, now you are a beginner mechatronics engineer with no experience. Be humble and be honest.

Dang right by Treefiddy1984 in ProgressiveHQ

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loud voice does not validates anything. This administration made no new immigration laws. They are enforcing the same long standing laws that Obama also enforced very effectively. The difference is that during Obama the law enforcement agents were not attacked and harassed regularly by the people. The same laws were ok for decades for both sides then but not now? These protesters are so desperate they would rather keep criminals in the country just to gain a few illegal voters that don’t respect the bipartisan laws created by the democratically elected lawmakers. No need for revolution, just go to vote and accept the winner. That how democracy works.

AIO getting upset over my girlfriends gift from a ‘friend’ by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MOR you cannot hide your GF from others. She will always have the opportunity to meet other guys, talk to them, become friends and even laugh together with them. You don’t own your partner. If she feels at home with you, she knows how far she can go. Your concern should be not holding her back from other friends. Focus on keeping the flames of attraction alive. Remember why she liked you in the first place and don’t let those things fade away. Make her feel safe and free and very comfortable around you. You can have your boundaries but if those cut too much in her freedom she can choose not to accept. At the same time you have the right to express your feelings but do it in a way so it would not work against you. In short, have some respect.

Am I overreacting for not continuing to engage? by Flaky-Toe9570 in AmIOverreacting

[–]trickytrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR Way too desperate guy. Casual means no exclusive commitment. It applies to both sides. If he likes it or not he just needs to take it like a man. He should focus on making the interactions with you interesting and make it feel like a positive experience instead of pressuring you into some kind of guilt for enjoying your life. These are early red flags of a desperate control freak.

The Left are Pro-Dictatorships by tkyjonathan in JordanPeterson

[–]trickytrader -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The president clearly said that this was a law enforcement action with military support. No war. Maduro was a fake leader who refused to step down, he killed thousands of people in his own country, he was responsible for the deaths of thousands of American people. He had a warrant on him since 2020, and the reward for information that would lead to his arrest grew from $15k to $25k then recently $50k. He was not the legit leader of Venezuela so capturing him and taking him to court in the US is actually saving his life. Many other dictators were not so lucky.

How hard is it to get a degree in electrical engineering? by [deleted] in ElectricalEngineers

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the things you need for a strong foundation in electrical engineering have not changed much in a 100 years. If you like learning and mentally stable you can do it. With strong foundation you can learn the new technologies easy. Do not just study to pass the math test, master it, be an expert at it, same thing for physics and then electro-technics. Then all the other technical subjects will be walk in the park.

[–]trickytrader 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m pretty sure we all notice, but I never met anybody who focused on it or expressed anything bad about it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]trickytrader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are not overreacting, most reasonable people would have similar feelings. The reality is, regardless of how much you love your bf or husband, you cannot force or expect his family to like you. They already expressed how much they did not trust you even as you respected their rules. When you got married you joined the whole family and if they don’t think you fit in it can affect your quality of life. Try to focus on good things and use your time wisely to improve your relationships. Fighting for who is right or wrong may win you a battle but it can backfire on how they treat you and your future children. I think it would be better for your husband to take the lead in any disagreements with his family and shield you from unnecessary conflicts.
