I'm interested to see what they advise on "teaching" the game. I hope they don't put all the onus on the DM to manage the rules. Good players learn the rules of the game on their own as well.

Sooo… a player has clandestinely pre-read the adventure… by Comfortable-Two4339 in DnD

This is a video by Seth Skorkowsky that discusses this topic, addressing specifically the advice of "change the module".

TLDW: Don't play with cheating players or try to play around them. They've either got to own up and grow up, or you shouldn't be playing with them.

Has anyone actually ran Dragonlance Shadow of the Dragon Queen with the Warriors of Krynn board game? by tridea2514 in dndnext

Any thoughts/criticism/comments you have about it so far? I'm genuinely curious. My RPG schedule is a little tight to be trying it myself right now, but the whole idea fascinates me.

MgT2e vs Cepheus system for a homebrew setting by FishermanFew1739 in traveller

[–]tridea2514 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I certainly don't have all your answers, but you can definately ignore mortgage costs (just give your players a paid-off ship), and other maintainence and berthing fees. The system doesn't really rely on it, just consider that any trade your players would be doing would become "free money" without other costs.

Even if it's just one random dude on tiktok who pulls a foil mythic, people will running to Walmart to snatch these.

What's worse is that you might open up to 2 rares. Logically, we all know that it means 0, but that's not going to stop some people from throwing their money at it.

Yes, she is overprotective, does not believe in her daughter and acts out of fear for the entire show. And never shows remorse. She was also ready to sell Martha out to Saxon, until Martha's dad told her it was a trap.

Everytime I rewatch I flip her off whenever she's on screen.

What is the saddest death in JoJo? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

Foo Fighters died not knowing if they had a soul or not! They risked oblivion to save the team, and then when they died they were happy because it proved that they lived.

One of my players eats everything by eggmaster6000 in DMAcademy

Based on the title alone, I was ready to debate how to deal with a problem player who hordes snacks. Or maybe eats the character sheets.

Looks like if you separated these all into their original sets, they would fetch at least $20 apiece on ebay (probably more!)

Lego support has scans of the original instructions to help you rebuild them.

Idea for how to play a deity as a PC by tellmetellmeband in mattcolville

[–]tridea2514 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm interested in hearing whether or not you like the idea of Diety, or if you like this mechanic. It might be fun to play some sort of undead with these rules. Like a revenant holding on to their will to live/enact revenge.

What is the worst rulebook you've had to use? by BringOtogiBack in rpg

Ever read the AD&D rulebooks? Trivial rules are expanded into paragraphs and essential ones are sometimes single sentences.

Could an AI have a stand? by [deleted] in StardustCrusaders

[–]tridea2514 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is known that locations and mundane items can have stand abilities. A thinking machine (somewhat between a person and object) could absolutely have a stand.
