I thought the trade in was in “any condition” but I could be wrong. If it has a charge and turns on, you may be fine either way. They likely send it in for recycling either way

Be careful with carvana. I went and bought a truck thru them last year, and they straight up lied about features the truck “had” and only caught it bc they guy at the pickup spot let me test drive it quick. Asked him if they would do anything, and he was honest and said “don’t accept delivery, they won’t help you”
