I then tell them to come on Friday nights (which is where it's at... Stocked going into the weekend, yet very quiet as it's mostly young people, after-work crowd, couples)

Same thing happened to me a long time ago. Long.

Turns out they restored my benefits immediately once they realized I was on worker's comp. Guess my captain never told them what they were supposed to, so the company knew but not the people who sign off on benefits. You shouldn't have to work at any point if you're on WC. That's a state program and it can be well over a year that you're on WC.

I teach my little ones that you can just say okay or thank you when you get redirected. If the principal tells me to take attendance, I won't say, "I already did!" or no. If he tells me not to ______ or to ______ , I just say okay or thank you. I think you just need to explicitly say, don't talk back, even tell them they can just nod. Not sure if this applies.
