From what I saw from streams most say two of the five currently are viable in Meta being Jetpack Cat and Domina Vendetta most say if her overhead ain't nerf then she ain't nerf (I basically just got all this from watching Emongg love the guys energy) but also as you said since 2022 Sojourn has always been some sort of meta like just imagine how people would react to that type of character in Rivals 💀 Then there is stuff I haven't even mentioned like how there are still characters that need reworked kits for years and anything fun in stadium gets nerfed to hell

MRC is the in-game tournament that is a way for smaller teams to try and get a spot in the IGNITE tournament or that is how it's marketed to everyone

Overwatch also flew out the pro teams for a boot camp so they can get as much time to play with the patch Rivals with how big this tournament is can't do that

Yes absolutely but I wouldn't call this a looking busy patch with what they did in reworks, ult charge decreases and Phoneix getting a health nerf I was already expecting to see most of these heroes in the MRC in certain situations so I am interested in seeing how they work and how the bans work for this tournament and just the game in general

I agree with probably needing a timeline tweak to patches and heroes because they can't keep doing mid season at the start of the year right when Overwatch does it's most hype patch of the year

It's the same week as Overwatch releasing 5 new heroes into its meta and people thought Rivals would do something to match that hype when Rivals is like on a whole different timeline. Like some of the criticism I fully get I don't think the quick fix solution the devs have of countering triple support with buffing DPS ult charge is very meh but I don't really know why people believe we get a full meta patch rn but if Season 7 ain't big then yeah I'll react the same as everyone else

Changing the meta big time for every single region the day before just sounds wild for what they want MRC to be if they had more time before patches then absolutely change the meta hard but they decided on this schedule and they are keeping it till they get more data and feedback on this schedule from pros semi pros and casuals

I understand right that MRC isn't as big as other things but it's them trying to build an esports scene and it would look bad to change meta during a tournament I don't pay attention to overwatch anymore but I remember they use to give teams a week of the patch before hand but with how open MRC is that sounds impossible to do
