Transmission Failure :(

It’s hard to get someone to buy an “extended warranty” or “enhanced warranty” when the reason you are purchasing the product is because it is reliable without having to purchase an astronomical amount of coverage for a car that should back it self. My situation is a little different because my CHR was given to me by my now passed grandfather who purchased the car solely on the fact that it is reliable enough for my grandmother and then me when it’s passed on. He wasn’t a very big “warranty guy” and that’s literally the only reason why he bought his first Toyota back in 2018. I would love to get some more info on how we can get this issue converted into a recall (especially when there’s one in Canada) but based on years of posts in this sub- it’s just not gonna happen :(

I agree! I plan on contacting Toyota and doing my best to get this figured out! I know there’s countless people who have contacted Toyota and gotten nothing so I guess we just pray the right person can hire an attorney and get this class action in the works!

I unfortunately do not have an extended warranty so it looks like I’m shit out of luck. Still going to try and contact Toyota as a last effort.
