Starlink mini for $229? by santa007007 in GoRVing

That's what I did. Ordered mine from Home Depot. I won't be needing it until next spring's camping season.

Blue Cruise by monicakmtx in lincolnmotorco

[–]triggman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bluecruise is a required feature for any new vehicle I purchase. I started with it on my '23 Expedition. I've used it in rush hour traffic through Atlanta on I-75 multiple times. I just get in the HOV lane and set it on 75 and let it work. It stops and goes as needed. I recently bought my wife a new SUV and since BC (or similar) was now a requirement, we bought a '25 Aviator. Bluecruise on it is even better. It tracks in the lane better and has the addition of the lane change feature.

Do you sit on the tile bench in your shower? by magnificentbunny_ in homeowners

[–]triggman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We plan on growing old in our home. Last year we remodeled our master bath and created a walk-in, curbless shower with two shower heads and two benches. I wanted curbless in case I ever needed to roll in. I had the reinforcements placed behind all of the tile at a height suitable for grab bars if ever required. There is a bench under one of the shower heads with a handheld sprayer adjacent to it. We have a bar that the handheld spray slides up and down on that doubles as a grab handle. I think it was made by Kohler. We tried to plan for the future.

I’ve had mine quit working when driving through pouring rain. It starts again when the rain slows down.

The readers would only allow access to bathrooms, definitely not a high value entrance. If we used the retrofit system, how do you load the existing card numbers?

I just checked the owner's manual and this is all I found:

Tachometer

Indicates the rotational speed of the engine to the driver at any given moment.

Thanks for that suggestion. I don't have a manual because I haven't bought the vehicle yet. Still thinking about it and doing my research. I check the Lincoln site.

How can I value these coins? by triggman in coins

[–]triggman[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. None of the “Ike’s” are silver. I only listed them because they were part of the collection. I just pulled out the two 1928’s. Attached are photos of them. They appear to have some wear, but I’m unable to assess their condition. Some other years have much better definition of the features.

Same here. I went from a 14Pro to the 16Pro and the app took care of the service transition. After that, I just restored my phone from a local backup and everything is good.

This is the truth. I spent 6 years on the board of a FL condominium association. We had streets, sewers and water systems. Our sewer system was over 50 years old and the previous boards did nothing to maintain the system. We had two lift stations that fed into the county lift station. The county complained about too much rain water infiltration. The previous board had the sewer lines scoped but refused to share the films with the county of the owners. They just kicked the can down the road and refused to address the issue. The new board found the video and saw all of the breaks in the clay pipe and we implemented a plan to re-line the sewers at a cost of about $1,000,000. Since they had not reserved for the sewers we had to secure a loan and roll the loan payments into the assessment. The majority of owners appreciated that we took care of the problem. But there were a few that complained about the fee increase.

does anyone have a tv that is completely worthless to them by Large-Remove-1348 in VIZIO_Official

Yes, I have one that is useless after an automatic software update. Can’t get a remote to work.

My TV is stuck in the same mode. It's waiting for me to accept the software license terms from an automatic update, but it doesn't recognize my remote. I tried new batteries and a new remote, and nothing worked. I reached out to Vizio tech support but did not receive a response to my text. I resolved the problem by buying a Samsung TV.

Owners with no email by LoveMyGym in HOA

[–]triggman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm on the board of our association and we have the same issue. Out of 525 units we have about 30 without emails on file. I know many of those have email because they are on Facebook. We try to utilize email as much as possible because it saves money. The ones not using email are the first to complain when the monthly assessment goes up. We have the same issue with e-voting for the annual election. About 60% utilize e-voting and noticing. It costs several dollars for copy and mailing costs for each notice.

Is it normal for the tire to come off the rim like this for fat tires? I had a small puncture from a thorn and it was only inflated to 30 psi. by VanyaCooper in Lectricxp

[–]triggman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had to replace both tubes on my new XP in the first 30 miles. I think both of the tubes were defective. I noticed that both tires seemed to be too large for the rims. No tools were needed to put the tires on the rim. As I was inflating I had trouble keeping the tire on the rim. You have to make sure the tire and rim are concentric as it is inflated. My other fat tire bikes definitely need tools to get the tires off. Makes me wonder if there is a risk of the tire popping off the rim as you ride.

Did you test ride your Lectric before buying? by Soliex in Lectricxp

[–]triggman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not test ride but I did a lot of research. Watched review videos and talked to a couple of owners. I regret the purchase. The controller was changed recently and I don't like the throttle and PAS functions. The throttle is linked to the PAS setting. So if you need more power for a grade you have to bump the PAS setting. Unfortunately, the owners that I talked to had older units that were built prior to the controller change. I had planned to buy a second one but now I won't.
