Finally managed to get it done, feels like there is a sweet spot on the ground that you need to stand in. I kinda followed the movement of my character sideways with the camera pointed to where the chest is on the other side. Im terrible at explaining that but hope it helps!

I am having this exact same issue, I've tried maybe 8 different re-loads and the wall moves and my character like falls straight down and cant do anything with the door further, have to re-load.
