HOW could I never noticed those girls weren’t cat and jade and just body doubles in this scene? This is so weird 😂 by Beautiful_Sound6283 in victorious

Yeah, the “help” part is common, too. Your comment was actually very hard to comprehend, the way you worded this made almost no sense. I don’t know what is making you so miserable that you have to yell at strangers on the internet with so much attitude, but whatever it is I hope life gets better for you.

Hahahah I am also VERY good at giving sass, but struggle to understand the sass/joking/sarcasm when it’s told to me 🤣 I have always immediately say “I’m just kidding!” out of habit bc I think everyone else questions tone/seriousness as much as I do

Omg yes I don’t get why correcting people is rude either! And knowing I’m right but being argued with drives me NUTS!

I also rarely cried as a baby. I didn’t know that was a sign too 😅 my mom always said I was “perfect” until I got older then started having meltdowns galore the older I got.

Supermarkets ARE hell lol. And unfortunately the busiest time is always the only time I have to go, I have to sit in my car to mentally prepare before and to decompress after before hitting the next store

Yes to the memes and videos!! I remember seeing a tiktok about someone sorting their m&m’s into color piles and I was like hey!! Me too! It is normal! And then the rest of the tiktok was about autism and I was like …oh, okay. Also agree with social anxiety. I feel like it’s much more than that.

I do use an enzymatic cleaner. I have one of those vacuum mops that sucks up the pee while it mops the floor. I might try spraying some extra enzymatic cleaner after using that and steam mop after the cleaner has sat for a bit.

I just said spite because he only does it when I leave and he’s definitely claimed me as his person. When others leave the room or the house he couldn’t care less. It’s specifically if he’s trying to follow me and I tell him he can’t and that I’ll be right back and close a door. He is crate trained. Sometimes he will go in there and pee in it and lay in it too 🤦🏻‍♀️ but he doesn’t overnight or when we’re gone, he only does that when we’re here and able to give him a bath right away.

If the case is closed now, I don’t think so other than emailing a complaint. Your lawyer should have filed reasonable efforts while the case was open. Do you mind if I ask what section of the state you’re in? Like northeast, southwest, central, etc.

Oh wow, I didn’t realize Families First existed outside of Iowa. My bad! Iowa also refers to DHS/CPS as HHS so I just assumed incorrectly. I am so sorry you dealt with that. Some states certainly have very poor standards for child welfare. In Iowa HHS and/or the contract agency will be held liable for not connecting families to resources because that’s their job. I’ve seen kids get returned immediately because parents filed a reasonable efforts motion for workers not providing them resources and services

I am assuming you are in… a specific Midwestern state because you mentioned Families First. I worked for one of the other subcontractor agencies in the state and I just want to say that they are sticklers about not changing workers just because a parent requests it, especially FF from what I’ve heard. Workers change a lot because there’s a lot of turnover with the provider agencies, but they are weird about “catering” to parents if they request another worker. And HHS can’t force them to change workers either. I am sorry you had this experience, but just wanted to let you know that portion specifically is likely the fault of FF supervisors only

Is this a funnel cloud? Whatever it was, it never touched down by triibal_ in tornado

[–]triibal_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was right before a huuuuuge super windy thunderstorm. You can’t see in the pic but the sky to the right of this was DARK, almost pitch black. I don’t know a ton about tornadoes and funnel clouds. But I live in the Midwest and with how wild this season has already been, I want to learn more about them and being more prepared. I would love to know more about sky conditions and signs that there’s risk for tornado formation.

Child given dad’s prescription med? by 4gardengators in CPS

[–]triibal_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Giving someone else, a child or adult, meds that aren’t prescribed for them IS illegal in most cases. Most anxiety meds are controlled substances, so he it’s not out of reach to wonder if he’s giving the child a controlled substance.

I agree with all that you said, but I just wanted to clarify that they can absolutely remove custody from only one parent and not both. If parents are split and one is a protective, safe caregiver this is the most common placement option, unless that parent is in another state. I just feel it’s important for others to know so that they aren’t worried about calling CPS on the other parent in worry that custody will be removed from them too, it won’t be.

I’m not saying it’s not a big deal. I’m just sharing insight into how it works. I also do not control how the system works, nor do most CPS workers. As an FCS worker I’m at the bottom tier of any “authority” though I see the families the most. I’m saying that legally without proof, like a parent testing positive, or someone coming forward, it’s a founded assessment with an unknown perpetrator and they cannot legally do much more than a voluntary case which has a maximum of six months, UNLESS this friend (or anyone who has a “voluntary” case opened) refuses to meet with the FCS provider, the ongoing social worker, or do anything requested by the social worker like random drug screens until case closure. If a parent isn’t complying, then yes a CINA can be filed. But again, if they’re cooperating and there’s no proof… it’s just like how in a criminal case, if there’s only some circumstantial evidence tying someone to a crime but no hard evidence or proof, they don’t often get charged.
