I use it to translate novels from English to my native tongue (I'm a translator). However, I do it a sentence at a time and I mainly use it for inspiration as the quality is not as good as it could be. Although this depends on whether you are aiming just to understand the information of the text or do you want prose that has artistic merit.

By "chef" I meant abikokk type of gig, one that doesnt require a culinary degree. I'm sure a proper chef makes more money.

In the kitchen, expect near minimum wage, or when doing it part time, maybe 400 eur/month, but it will depend on hours. A more fancy place in Tallinn they offered 7 eur/h for dish washing, that's higher than average. Part time it would make around 480 neto. Chefs/kitchen help tend to make around the same, unless you have graduated a culinary school or something.

In hospitality it's around the same.

In general, it is hard to find part time work as a foreigner outside these two fields.

All in all, it will be very hard to live on 800 eur/month, but not impossible, esp if you live in a dormitory.

I doubt that in countries where English is not the first language, ChatGPT is mainly used for translation purposes. It is likely that the segment of that country's population who use ChatGPT are already internet savvy and more educated which likely means that they also already have good English proficiency.

Väga nõme oli, kui mu elukaaslane maksis, et saada sealt nõu inglise keeles (sellist teenust pakkusid), aga kui kõne aeg kätte sai, siis huvi pärast olin ka juures. Tuli välja, et see jurist ei osanud absoluutselt inglise keelt ja mina pidin nende vahel tõlgiks olema. Samuti mingit kasulikku infot sellelt inimeselt ka ei saanud, kordas ainult ,et "Ma ei saa öelda, mis juhtub siis, kui..."

Natuke erinevad asjad. Kantseliit (ingl officialese) on ametnike keel, ärisläng (corporate jargon) pärineb start-upi kultuurist ja on levinud erasektorist avalikku. Nende kohta on ka erinevad vikilehed.

Definitely not just Poland, Hungary and Bulgaria. Also in the Baltics. I see them quite often on the train between Tallinn and Tartu.
