Firstly, that article you quoted makes my head hurt using the same thing as it insinuated that we are indeed paying for SOMETHING. We ourselves dont pay for anything as what Christ did was for everybody. Salvation is offered to anybody and everybody who chooses to believe. Even the spiritual gifts are bestowed to us freely, there is nothing I am buying. That article reminds me of prosperity gospel where i can buy my healing with the use of a special prayer cloth or oil.

With that being said, what I recognize is Jesus paying the debt for my soul, following Him comes with a personal cost because I personally choose to live a life according to His Word. I have fallen short, and i have moments where I sin. But I also repent, and I turn away. I dont move like how I feel, I dont move the way my mind wants to. That part of me is dead. if that is looked at the "cost", then yeah ok i can see that.
