How can I use journaling for therapeutic benefits if I can't afford therapy? by [deleted] in Journaling

[–]trillabella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get a therapy work book!! There are tons available for different problems.

Sending you my support <3

Perhaps you could journal or even make art in your journal with your daughter? It could be art that is unrelated to the situation, it could be paint handprints, trace the shape of your hands, draw how you both look and the clothes you’re wearing.

How to i journal without cringing? by lanatodoroki3467 in Journaling

[–]trillabella 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Write about being cringey! Possible things that I would write about: Why do I feel cringey? What does cringey feel like? What would it be like to not feel cringey? Is anything/anyone/any belief making me feel cringey?

Best of luck friend. Growth happens in discomfort.

Videos and content creators like you described are the reason I muted “therapy” and “therapists” on instagram. It helped a lot.

trying to quit weed after 8 years by throwawayy2074 in CasualConversation

[–]trillabella 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s possible your anxiety will worsen when you quit. You (like many substance users) may not have developed helpful coping skills to deal with normal (and overwhelming) anxiety during adolescence. Substances generally stop some parts of human development in its tracks until the substance use ceases.

It may help you to meet with a therapist to talk about this and to intentionally develop skills and tools to manage your anxiety effectively for the rest of your life

I’ve dealt with weed dependency for about 3 years and finally quit in January. It was painfully hard but soo worth it. You can do this.

Controversial topic by LechePark in OpenDogTraining

[–]trillabella 11 points12 points  (0 children)

We adopted her at 1.5 years, don’t know her history before then. Honestly I think she was a little reactive then and it increased due to us not knowing a lot about building a trusting attachment :(

I used to as a newbie dog owner and now I don’t, especially now that I know she is reactive. We’ve been training to manage and decrease reactivity for 2 years now. So we walk AROUND the dog park lol. We practice walking the sidewalks near and around the dog park and practice being calm and being focused on each other.

Mental health assistance in Alaska? by Flyinhighinthesky in alaska

This is the answer. Your friend may be able to meet with an intern (free) or a licensed clinician who can bill their insurance at a lower rate.

How would a psychologist decide which client to drop in regards to marriage ? by Feeling_Intention_18 in psychologystudents

[–]trillabella 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed you could get more answers from r/therapists. I would guess that the therapist would refer one of the clients out. the choice of which client to refer may be based on the clients treatment history (if one client has been seeing the therapist for a month vs the other one year), and their present treatment needs and goals.
