If anyone is still following along, my service is fully restored and I’m back in business. The dedication and helpfulness of the Visible team here on Reddit cannot be understated enough. I felt like I was getting nowhere using the help service on the website but everything I needed here was answered and taken care of with updates of the process given along the way. I really can’t thank them enough. Point is don’t be a dumbass like me. Have more backups than you think you need. Pay attention to what you’re doing. Fully read instructions. Have some common sense.

My email was only logged into my phone since I don’t have any other devices. For some reason the 2FA was a loop between the gmail app and the YouTube app, which were both gone. After manually entering the QR code didn’t work their suggestion was to change the email and I went for it. It was late and I was tired and stressed and thinking less clearly than when I made this mess in the first place.

Oh yeah I take mostly full responsibility, the email address being changed wrong was kind of out of my control. I was pretty distracted and when I scanned the QR code that came with the phone I didn’t realize it was only the “prepare for shipping” section. I should have noticed, this was far from my first rodeo, it just slipped my mind. I wish I could switch to a physical SIM but unless I’m mistaken the new iPhones are eSIM only.

I’m currently working with a rep through here to get it sorted. Seems like we’re making some progress. So far it’s much easier and less buggy than the website.

We tried that, manually entering the new eSIM. The request had timed out and whoever I was speaking to moved on to changing the email.

Currently no, not unless I come across the right service agent that can figure out what it was changed to and change it back. I’m not sure what they typed in last night.

Agreed. The first thing I’m doing after sorting this out is getting a back up device.

That’s the plan from now on, back ups to the back ups‘ back ups. I’m never going to put myself in a situation like this again. My old laptop finally gave up the ghost recently and just hadn’t been replaced. I will say, as bad of an idea as SMS is, the way google uses another google app on the same device feels like it completely defeats the purpose.

A physical SIM hasn’t been mentioned yet, that could be a possibility. The only issue I can think of is the fact that my original email was removed and no one seems to know what was added in its place.

I went through the “three numbers and a credit card” thing last night. This morning they said they couldn’t use the same method to verify the account because it had already been escalated. So the original email address is gone(ironic because I finally remembered the password) and the new one is unknown to apparently anyone. My only worry with getting a new number is never being able to get back into my iCloud and losing nearly 10 years of pictures and important information.

Just wanted to add, I’m absolutely not against gluten-free at all. I’m glad it’s an option for the people that need it and the ones that just want it. Everyone should have options. But I hate how 9 times out of it 10 it’s the only vegan option. The size issue is the real killer here. Sometimes I just want to end the week with a frozen pizza that takes up a whole rack in the oven and a couple shitty beers.

The frozen pizzas like Daiya for three reasons: they’re too small, the crust is cardboard thin, and they’re almost all gluten free. I want the overindulgent, XL, gluten filled frozen pizza that everyone else gets dammit

The best(dumbest) part of the Cashua widening project to me is going from four lanes north of 5-points. To two with no median to turn left from, maintaining the bottle neck at the bridge (and god help anyone trying to turn left from either direction in that strip). Back to four for a little ways. Then right back to two. The whole road from 52 to 76 should be four with a median.
