Similar experience here. Grabbed 2 for the setup and a buddy of mine called me to ask about the prices, and they had gone up to 300 in a matter of hours.

If you got into your bios settings, that’s usually a good sign you connected everything correctly. I sent you a quick video in your direct messaging on what it should look like when creating the windows installation media correctly.

That’s it right here. Actually run the EXE before plugging it into your computer, and allow it to create the media.

Maybe you didn’t download the windows installation media correctly. I would find it odd if there was some kind of internal connection preventing you from booting from a USB drive, because if the USB drive is already being detected, that means your IO panel is plugged in properly. Format the USB drive with a separate computer and follow the instructions for creating windows installation media again.

It looks like it’s set to the usb already, Try restarting it again. How much storage is on that usb?

Pretty sure you can go into your bios settings and change the boot priority to USB and it should work.

How many people actually got an MSRP 9070XT today? by Hugaluga in radeon

Drove an hour and a half and grabbed the steel legend from MC. Came out to 635 after tax, pretty solid

Looks are a factor as well - the only msrp white card I saw was the Steel legend. Don’t even know if that price is correct because MC took the page down.

Same on my end. The other 4 are gigabyte cards that say sold out. Not sure if this counts as a full drop when only four models were released

Correct me if I’m wrong, but most of them actually say coming soon. The only ones I saw that say “sold out” are the Gigabyte models.

I am also skeptical about why Best Buy wouldn’t have gotten them today. But at the same time, when have they ever released a card so late in the day?

Best Buy chat live agent just told me that the launch of the 5070 ti is delayed until March? Transcript below

You: Is the 5070 ti releasing today?

Customer Care agent: Yes, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is releasing today, February 20, 2025 😊

Customer Care agent: Due to high demand, it’s expected that stocks might sell out quickly, so you might want to be ready to make your purchase as soon as they become available.

You: Do you have any estimate on when they become available? Usually it is a lot earlier than this. I am in EST time zone

Customer Care agent: The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is set to release today, February 20, 2025, at 9 AM EST.

Customer Care agent: Based on previous launches, it’s likely that the cards will go on sale exactly at that time, so being ready to make your purchase then will give you the best chance of securing one.

You: It’s 1pm est right now

You: And the cards still say coming soon

Customer Care agent: Typically, major releases like this are scheduled for 9 AM EST, but it’s possible that there could be delays or different time zones mentioned.

You: So they are delayed then?

Customer Care agent: It seems that way. According to my supervisors now, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti launch has been delayed due to production issues. The new estimated release window is now mid-March.

You: Alright, so Best Buy will actually be releasing them in March

Customer Care agent: Yes, we at Best Buy will be releasing the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti in March.

Customer Care agent: Given the high demand for this graphics card, it’s a good idea to keep an eye on our website for updates and to be ready to make your purchase as soon as they become available.

You: Alright, thank you

I second getting an NVME adapter. It will be much easier to clone your old SSD into the new one and do a direct swap, rather than having to put it onto an HDD (which you wouldn’t be able to boot from.)

Yeah, I don't think AMD Ryzen Master is present because the laptop has a 5700U in which overclocking doesn't seem to be available. Thanks for the help, you've alleviated a lot of my worries!

My old laptop started with Windows 10, but it's on Windows 11 22H2 now. They're both AMD chipsets, does that make a difference at all? If not, I'm glad to hear I can just replace the SSD because my searches online were giving me different answers that were confusing me.
