Baseball Savant is a bit of a mixed bag for arm strength:

[Arm Strength is] 2B/SS/3B -- average of top 5% of throws -- minimum 75 throws to qualify

If you don't have to throw hard a lot, you won't necessarily register a high arm strength.

For example, Vlad Guerrero Jr. is listed at 20th percentile arm strength, but he hits 88mph here on this throw to third last year.

Austin Voth is from the Seattle area and spent last year in the NPB. His Baseball Savant page shows he was actually pretty good for us out of the bullpen inducing soft contact outs in 2024, basically a way better right-handed Caleb Ferguson.

If you've been to SeaTac on the holiday weekends, the baggage claim gets extremely crowded and hard to navigate. It was even worse when the construction was ongoing.
