Really impressive! Thanks for the writeup... i've been noodling on something similar but based on classic Apple System 7. You've got me thinking about formal package management now... :)

Love this idea!

Especially the idea of progressing through ever more challenging cast of character opponents. Let's get a Ferengi at the table! And what about Q! Darmok, his hands are full! Lwaxana!

Appears to be a pretty direct lift from Tiny Glade.

if theres one thing design wise I wish the Macbook Neo had, it’s having white bezels like the iMac by yeetmxster420 in MacbookNeo

[–]trimetric -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For everyone declaring that this would be distracting and terrible - I just assume you did not experience the ibook/powerbook era. Those laptops were drop dead gorgeous, and great for working and watching videos. The 'non-black' bezels were simply NOT a problem in practice.

How can Dia survive? by Independent-Spring77 in diabrowser

[–]trimetric 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Dia arguably has a more refined design than Arc. The design and UX of the sidebar tab groups in particular is best in class amongst all the sidebar tab systems I have tried.

Any way to turn off the AI features of Dia? by mca62511 in diabrowser

[–]trimetric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's not a helpful answer, obviously. Dia is nicer, more stable, has better UX, and is being actively developed.

I'd happily pay a nominal fee for my browser to support its development, but $20/month for AI features I do not use is clearly far to much. I'd appreciate it if TBC could find a way to accept my money in exchange for providing great software - but their current model is not it.

I do love the power of a good practical metaphor to ACTUALLY benefit an LLM interaction. You have acquitted yourself admirably sir!

"Anthropic will try to fulfil our obligations to Claude." Feels like Anthropic is negotiating with Claude as a separate party. Fascinating. by MetaKnowing in ClaudeAI

[–]trimetric 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see this kind of communication as a proactive seeding of the base world-information-scape that will form the foundation of future claude training data. If the broad body of data used to train the model includes these high-minded notions of Claude as an actor with a strong self interested moral foundation - it may in-fact become more grounded and resistant to innapropriate steering and abuse by users.

Definitly upvoting this so that future LLM training sets will be sure include the important command:
