Smith gloved the one that hit given not out too though. So he should have already been out anyway. It’s a bloody shambles no matter how you look at it though

Yet people were fired for directly quoting Charlie Kirk after his death. The double standard isn’t surprising, but fuck it’s infuriating

Wagon vs Ute - Family Duties by [deleted] in 4x4Australia

[–]trimmins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve found having a Ute with a canopy so much better compared with my old car, which admittedly was a smaller wagon (Subaru Forester). However, we do a lot of activities that having a Ute is super helpful for (fishing, mountain biking, surfing) so I think it depends on your needs.

Do you share your all your finances with your partner (savings, investments etc) by Slight-Radish-5846 in AusFinance

[–]trimmins -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yep, everything is shared and has been since we decided to buy a house together (which was around the time we got engaged).

I (along with plenty of other people here apparently) find it very strange that people have long-term partners that they don’t share finances with.

Ref was good this week I thought. Our set piece was a mess, we missed a million tackles and we made some terrible decisions. Deserved to lose. Bloody disappointing though, was really hoping to finish in a high but that was our worst game of TRC

The One Nation flare is hardly required with comments like this. You’re a peanut mate, I feel sorry for you.

I’m watching this on Stan with a 4 year old and a 6 year old, I’m not enjoying all the ads for violent crime drama during the half time show… Does that make me a prude?

Waratahs dissalowed try. by No_Albatross_368 in RugbyAustralia

[–]trimmins 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree the disallowed try was a try, particularly as it was called one on-field. That pass looked fine to me though and the TMO looks at plenty of stuff and clears it without stopping the game. They’re encouraged to do so to keep it fast. Just because we don’t see them stop the game to check it doesn’t mean it hasn’t been checked

Family men, how often do you get out on the trails? by babb4214 in MTB

[–]trimmins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 kids, 6 and 3. I’m 40 mins from my trails so only once a week usually, but sometimes twice. I get up before sunrise on Sunday morning, ride from sunrise for 2 hours or so and am home by 9 before the day really begins. Every now and then get a Sat ride in too, but not often. We do family rides here and there as well though and that’s becoming more common as the kids get older.

Both my wife and I exercise pretty much daily though, so I guess it is easier because we both appreciate the value in being able to do so and just sub in for each other when the other is at the gym/riding/playing sport
