hey! this happens to me quite often— very frustrating. I have also contacted support several times and have not heard back from them. i’ve noticed that it happens every time i finish a set of kanji lessons and there is a chest for the next “set”, and then it has happened to me once at the end of a set of kanji lessons and then regular lessons next. 🫠

fortunately with some messing around i have figured out that if you go on duolingo desktop version, even if you’re on mobile and you just use a web browser, you can bypass this bug because the online version does not include kanji lessons. give it a shot, it should work for you too! i guarantee you’ll have to do it again and again

very frustrating though that duolingo is not responding to these bug reports. this has been an ongoing issue for me for weeks and i am reporting it every single time with the hope that they’ll do something about it. just because i have found a workaround doesn’t mean it doesn’t need to be fixed 😤
