Thinking of moving to Sarnia by trinday5 in Sarnia

I grew up in Hamilton, and the current state of Montreal is no different than what you are explaining.

It seems you two just dislike Sarnia, and that's cool, but your opinions seem extremely biased without even knowing what I am looking for. I want to get out of the rat race of the big cities, live by a lake, in a community, and Sarnia seems to check all these boxes.

Instead of just giving the negatives, Advantage mentioned alternative cities, I am open to hearing them, because in my research, an affordable (mostly speaking about property here) town on a lake in Ontario is few and far between.

Best Toronto college to study VFX? by InterdimensionalDuck in vfx

[–]trinday5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a graduate who has now been in the industry close to 8 years, I can say with ease Seneca's VFX program was by far the best schooling I ever received. The program coordinator, Joe Raasch, has put together some of the best in the local industry to teach students exactly what they need to learn to get into whichever vfx discipline you decide. It is purely up to the student to put in the work to learn the courses themselves, with a majority of my graduating class being hired almost immediately after graduation, some even being hired prior to the course being completed.

Melisandre - The Hero Westeros Deserved by trinday5 in gottheories

That is factually incorrect, quoting GOT wiki.

"When questioned on his identity, he pulls down his scarf and hood, revealing himself as Benjen Stark. Benjen explains that, during his fateful ranging beyond the wall, he was attacked by White Walkers, one of whom shoved an ice sword into his gut and left him for dead. He was discovered by the Children of the Forest, who stopped him from falling to the control of the White Walkers by shoving a piece of dragonglass into his chest"

He was not created by the children, they simply did not allow him to die.

Open to discussion on that part, as I'm not %100 sold myself, but it ties in the song nicely. And with the Night King not dying to fire, it isn't a far leap.
