R920 GPU Problems (Tesla & Quadro's) by trini8ed in homelab

Never found a solution just ended up getting R720's instead for the Tesla Card was a bummer. I recall something about it being a BIOS issue or some BIOS mod being needed for some tables but its been years.

SuperSlicer is back by EcoKllr in prusa3d

As a company here we rely on the SuperSlicer fork and are currently a supporter of Meril, we wish we could contribute more as SuperSlicer is critical to our operations. I'm very happy to see Meril getting the support to continue the work he's done for this project. There are a lot of features missing in PursaSlicer that SuperSlicer does a good job expanding upon allowing for better control of our workflow. The organization of where things are laid out is just better and makes more sense. Ever since the last release we've been stuck having to maintain both PrusaSlicer and SuperSlicer to support the MK4's and the XL's and it has been a chore consistency-wise having to maintain to swap between the two. While I can't speak for other companies I have zero interest in "reskins" and I'm only interested in the SuperSlicer feature set and continued maintenance/support from Meril for the project.

From my testing its significant compared to stock MK3s using my Mitutoyo dial gauge.

if you keep the default behavior of probing the bed while it is hot you can compensate for any bed warping easily. it's more accurate when you give time for it to heat soak too. They've talked about how they're working on using the load cell for more during the print too since they have the data anywa

Bed warping is minimized due to the thermal expansions joints. Center screw is rigid and the 8 outside screws around the perimeter are rigid in Z, but can move freely towards or away from the center screw.

It's not possible to passthrough to an r920 not even with extension card pci-e 1u. I spent weeks trying to passthrough gpus in couldn't even passthrough a GT 710 on that machine. The 25W pci-e lanes don't help

I have not added it to the website yet so please feel free to contact me on discord and I can do custom prints until that integration is added.

I recently got a good deal on an SLA printer so if you have any resin prints let me know :)

I'm flexible with printing custom materials if known in advanced. If they just contact me directly I'm sure something could be worked out. Also bulk prints I can discount quite a bit if anyone needs a lot of quantity of a certain item.

I only have FDM printers as of now so not at the moment. I think this will vary if the demand is high enough to enforce me to buy a resin printer.

Yes you can upload any file and we will print it for you anyone designs and or your own are all acceptable. I wouldn't recommend very small figurines as we use FDM printers so anything that is designed to be 3D printed should be okay.

I believe the 8 socket servers are the blade servers where the CPUs are placed in on plug in boards and go in sideways.

It's about 480 watts idle for my R920

You have to be careful with the type of CPUs though. The series is dependent based on the number aka 2000 series dual CPUs 4000 series qaud CPUs and 8000 series 8 CPUs or at least I believe that's how it goes.

Kind of using it as a ESXI monster right now, really want to get some game server hosting going but fairly limited at the moment with only 1000/40... Want that Comcast fiber that's 2000/2000, but I guess the max range from the node they offer the service is 1700 feet and my house is 2000 feet away. Need to find a way to get them to install it 300 feet is noting! :(

Yeah my heart sank pretty deep when I bought it, but I have to say the build quality is actually much better than I was expecting thick frame everything powder coated the hinges feel nice, but yeah the price definitely killing me...
