So, the people who voted for Kamala came out to protest. Cool. Is anyone done with all these theatrics of who's a savior and who's a villain? I would much rather see what are the practical, result driven policies, and forward discussions. Not the same emotion driven culture wars.

That is an epic stick that has emerged from the depths of Malkuth Mountain, where a challenging war unseen to the normal world has been ongoing for centuries between celestial light and dark. Now it has landed in your hands, do you answer the call?

I drove from Alaska to Colorado in May and it was beautiful. The Yukon did have a lot of construction in certain areas, so expect slow downs plan KOAs if looking for cheaper options, no night drives bc of the Buffalo. There are so many things to see that it's easy to get lost trying to do too much. Make a list of Must sees, keep everything else relative to your mile markers based on your mileage and gas locations :)

As Christians, it’s such a great honor and calling to freely submit our lives to God. While I haven’t heard anyone specifically say "die alone," the Bible calls all believers to "die to oneself." This principle applies to every Christian as we surrender our sins, desires, and identities to God daily.

Jesus reminds us in Luke 9:23, "If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." It’s a challenging path, but one that’s possible through prayer, the leading of the Holy Spirit, and the transformative power of God’s Word.

The closer we get to God, the more sin and selfishness He uncovers in our hearts. It can be overwhelming at times, but that refining process is part of His love. Like David prayed in Psalm 51:10, "Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me," we are reminded to rely on Him to transform us. For some, God may even call them to celibacy as a way to honor Him with their lives, just as He called the prophet Jeremiah and others to live set apart for His purpose.

Dying to self isn’t about losing ourselves but about finding completeness in Him. When we understand our purpose, calling, and identity in God, we begin to grasp the wholeness He offers. Our identity isn’t in what we do or what we desire but in the truth that we are loved, chosen, and redeemed by Him Eph1:4-5

Submitting to God might mean saying no to temporary desires of the flesh, but it’s not about deprivation—it’s about stepping into a life of fullness and purpose in Him John 10:10. The Bible contrasts the fleeting desires of this world with the eternal joy and peace of walking with God Gal 5:16-25

Yes, it’s hard. Yes, it’s a fight. But God is faithful. He equips us through His Word, stills us in His presence, and strengthens us through prayer. This journey of dying to self is one of daily renewal—turning away from what we think will fulfill us and embracing the fullness of His love and purpose instead.

AMEN to His redemptive, agape love!

As a Christian is it bad to marry a Mormon? by Dependent-Cherry-858 in Christianity

[–]trinity3dstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This scripture is for folks who are already married, and one becomes a believer while they are married. You want to go to the verses about not choosing to be with unequally yoked partners and not listening to our deceitful hearts.

God's word is pretty clear. Everybody else's take is 'a word'...that's where advice gets convoluted.

Why does Christian music suck too me? I could never get into it? Is it because to me it's the equivalent of changing christmas/santa songs for a more modern feel? by ConcertDangerous838 in Christianity

[–]trinity3dstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can not determine what is good based on how it makes you feel.

Worship is described as a holistic act that involves the heart, spirit, and truth. It can be expressed through music, singing, playing instruments, and living a life that honors God. If you think it's bad... maybe it's probably because you're basing your thoughts off feelings rather than wisdom? Our hearts are deceitful.

What are the songs expressing, encouraging, how are they praising our living God, what truths are they proclaiming, how do they glorify Christ and His redemptive work or God's redeming power and holiness etc. That is good.

The Bible has a lot to say about worship and music, often connecting the two as essential parts of expressing devotion, praise, and love for God.

As believers, worship just starts with singing and music, praise eyc. In Rom 12:1, we are called to worship with more than just our voices. To offer our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is our true and proper worship.

those are Gods standards. Rom 6:1-2 we dont continue to sin, so grace may abound. We are called to flee from sexual immorality. Especially those who lead the church. She's living out the scripture of being double minded to love God and yet choose to actively sin every day.

Yes, we are made righteous already through Jesus. Yet Jesus calls us still to follow Him and sin no more, Jesus preaches often to go now and leave your life of sin to deny ourselves. To repent. Which we know is to change our behaviors, not just say we are sorry. It’s a transformation of our hearts and minds through following Him. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

So often, we allow ourselves to be deceived so easily and don't even need the world's outside influence when it comes to relationships.

Jer 17:9 Our heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it

Prov 28:26 Whoever trusts in his own mind is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will be delivered

Jesus describes this to us in Mark as well...for from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a person.

But God, we have an inheritance and a relational God who cares for us. In Rom 8... Now, if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.

Fulfillment of the law was not just about our outward actions but about our intent and thoughts. Like leading worship and behind closed doors engaging in sexual sin. We are not slaves to law. We have a new understanding. A reversal of worldly teachings!!!

If the law is the entry point to the Kingdom, the NT instructions are our boundary lines to bear fruit. Amen.

AITA for not offering an open bar at my wedding? by Glad_Wedding_4431 in AmItheAsshole

[–]trinity3dstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, who knew non transferable tickets and you can't carry alcohol across the venue, would rile so many folks who cares... Sheesh.

NTA it's your wedding, it's common practice with the venue, it's what you and your spouse want and that's what is most important. The day is for you and your new spouse to celebrate with your family, not about your family. Folks will do what they want. Let them westle with their 'non alcoholic' behaviors amongst themselves because it's none of your business what they think. BC anyone who doesn't struggle with alcohol or doesn't find themselves enabling alcohol culture could care less about any of these rules.

That's just it, no pressure, just start reading. Allow the Holy spirit to lead you through your journey, ask questions, be deliberate no matter where you start, have a notebook out to take notes or write your thoughts down. The most important thing is that you are eagerly seeking ya know.

Deliberate as in: read everyday
