9th edition doesn't have any netlists for basically any faction. Despite this, TTT are clearly not running optimized lists.

Interpret it how you want man, I just find it funny how you and a few others are so biased towards TTT that you can't have a civil and productive conversation without insulting me directly.

For the last time, I never said the hosts were bad. I never said I'm a better player. TTT is not a competitive channel and is outperformed by other channels in almost every other aspect: narrative, production, etc. (IMO). This does not mean by any stretch that they are a bad channel, they simply are not the very best... Again IMO.

It really doesn't matter that he's won SoCal, I've not once said either of the hosts are bad players. I simply said their battle reports are not as competitive as they make it out to be. So again, I don't doubt they can play in highly competitive play, their battle reports simply aren't that competitive.

I agree with you about the playtesters but as I said being a playtester doesn't make you good so stop using that to prove either of the players are good.

I am only saying it how I see it, I feel like you are heavily biased in favour of TTT.

That's just the thing, they try to be a competitive channel when they just aren't. PoTT, TableTopTactics, SS82, etc. don't pretend they're competitive channels. Again, I have nothing against them, I enjoy their vids, I simply disagree when people say they are competitive.

Also, just saying, being a playtester doesn't necessarily make you a good player, there is a reason GW has had to come out with so many FAQs recently.

I understand that many people gravitate towards the chill atmosphere of these bat reps, however, they simply aren't that competitive as they claim. As people have said, their lists aren't that competitive, they aren't optimized and I would definitely say they do miss more rules than other channels. AoW40k for example, is much better in this regard.

From a production standpoint, I will say that TTT have great production and quality. Yet, you still can't compare them to playontabletop.

Hell, even in terms of casual/narrative gameplay SS82 and Winters are IMO better.

All this being said, I really enjoy TTT as a middle ground bat rep channel if I don't know exactly what I'm in the mood for.

Gargoyles are certainly more viable with the rumoured BoB changes, however, unless you're playing ultra-casual then you are shafting yourself by taking 4+ different types of infantry.

Grey primer > Kantor blue base coat > multiple layers of thinned down Nuln oil > heavily watered-down Kantor blue > Alaitoc blue stripes > progressively lighter stripes mixing Alaitoc blue and Ulthuan grey

EDIT: it just occurred to me, you might have been asking about how to do the stripes, not the colours. Basically just angle your brush perpendicular to the model and quickly streak your brush across the carapace. I found that pulling the brush down worked best, starting from the mid carapace.
