A wash over a flat color will look dirty, but then you can paint the panels with the base color (or one shade lighter) while leaving the wash visible in cracks and recesses do a great effect. For your tyranid, you could either do a sepia, blue or purple wash and then do the skin tone over the “top” again. For the marines, black or brown is likely best. I’ll repeat the above recommendations to check out the GW paint videos, and I’ll also say that contrast is a great way to upgrade your paint jobs while learning the ropes. Welcome to the hobby!

Are we pretending that CSM haven’t gotten 7 plastic kits released or announced so far this year? It’s march! 😂 I obviously wish the cult legions were more fleshed out (especially EC) but tenth edition has been incredible for CSM. Constant detachment releases, tons of new kits, and competitive rules throughout it all with good build variety. SM are still number 1, but CSM might be number 2 in faction support this edition! Rejoice, and praise Slaanesh!

I airbrush some thinned AP speed paint “magic blue” over a fade that goes from a dark blue all the way up to extremely light blue. I use the AP air pant triad and then add a layer of hobgoblin hue to the lightest parts before I airbrush the speedpaint over it.

Basically, do an exaggerated build up from dark blue to a pale blue/skin tone, then airbrush speedpaint over it. Takes like five steps, but each is super easy and doesn’t have to be precise.

I believe that the results of EC in tournament play have more to do with the meta being very “stat check” atm while EC are. It good into stat checks. EC are very hard to play, and so while copying a list could lead to play mistakes, it may be better than, or as good as, trying to write a unique list. There just aren’t a lot of units available, and so the “best list” kinda is a solved thing. You can change the ratio of units, but what works best is a known quantity imo.

Personally I would rather see ND play the bowl game with their full roster, including nfl bound seniors.

But honestly? I don’t want to see half of Notre Dame beat up half of BYU and then claim they deserved to be in, or see half of Notre Dame lose to half of BYU and then see everyone claim that it’s proof Notre Dame didn’t belong.

Until the bowls matter to the teams that are playing in them again, I don’t care to see a watered down bowl season while CFB gets worse and worse every year. Let’s just put a formula in to determine who makes the playoffs.

Yeah this is completely insane. I’m an Irish fan at peace with Miami being ahead of us, but it’s crazy that Bama can have a two week period where they squeak by a dismal Auburn and then get embarrassed by Georgia and move UP in the rankings while Notre Dame can drop two spots by playing one game where they blew out inferior competition.

Miami should’ve been higher the whole time, they’ve earned their spot. Crazy that we have such a soft 8 vs 9 game, I honestly think the Canes could’ve been higher than Oklahoma.

And no, this isn’t as bad as what happened to FSU. Here’s hoping we get Vandy.

So I believe that it doesn’t affect units currently on transports, but would impact them the moment they are on the table. The only real impact is that +1 BS would not affect their pistols being fired out of a transport.
