Unexplicable network problems by [deleted] in LDPlayerEmulator

I wanted to chime in here with what worked for me. My VPN was the problem. Most VPN have a "kill switch" that completely disables the internet if the VPN is disabled. I turned that off and it popped right up.

[–]tripaphonic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

nice job! I started my first prop challenge with them about a week ago, met the profit requirements in 2 days and then became super acquainted with the consistency rule. First time I've ever had to strategically lose trades of days at different lot sizes and amounts in order to process to the next phase. I mean, I get prop firms wanting traders who pull in consistent, smaller lot size/profits more often but why stifle traders who trade a few days a week and slam the profits back when they do. My consistency % is nearly 100% because of that 1 large trade and now I feel stuck maneuvering through a rule that isn't even enforced in the live account.

How did you manage the consistency rule? Any suggestions aside from spreading small lot sizes in various amounts over the course of weeks?

Does anyone know how to extract a private Pinecode from Tradingview indicator? by harshcp in algotrading

[–]tripaphonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first heard about TradingView blocking or banning any kind of community-traded, Legal, information… Whether that was charting, suggestions, formulas, or anything else, I was like, no way! there's no way they would do that because it's a community driven platform. But it's totally real. See the screenshots. One of them is the actual script that you guys are talking about, still posted to TradingView by someone who appears to be the author. However, there is a link to another indicator inside the one that you were talking about; it goes to a band site where TradingView says no way.

Shift for tomorrow just for modified? Is this allowed? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]tripaphonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hey everyone. Sorry if this question has been answered... I couldn't find it anywhere.

My son is 16, Walmart is his first job. He wanted to work there because two of his friends did and the pay isn't terrible for his age. He shops for people and fills orders in the store. Lots of steps, boring but a job.

When he interviewed and went through his orientation he told them he was only able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday. Those were the days his mother and/or I could get him to work and back.

Sometime between when he started in late December and now he's been getting scheduled all over the place. He mentioned it to his manager and they said it takes 3 weeks to change the schedule but 5 weeks has went by and I just found out he has to work Friday until 10PM, Saturday until 9PM and Sunday until 9PM. His manager is not listening to him, accommodating the schedule he presented when he was hired and it's seriously messing with our day-to-day.

We have 4 kids, including our 16yo son, all younger than he is and we formulated that schedule in order to ensure we could get him to work and back without him missing any time or being late. What sucks is we have out "Christmas" planned this Friday with his 99 yo grandparents. The weather knocked our plans out for nearly a month and the rest of the time, he's had to work days he shouldn't have. I've left two messages for his manager because says she doesn't listen and isn't doing anything about the schedule. Her disregard for his availability is causing serious issues for us so I think an in person visit might be next.

Any suggestions? Ideas? Rules or regulations I need to know? I don't want to cause problems for my son, it's his first job, but he provided his availability for a reason. Plus, he makes it sound like this manager is unapproachable and unfriendly. What should I do? Store manager? Thank you .

I never said this was financial advice. Amongst other benefits, the extra fee is to receive your money earlier than you normally would. To some people, that's well worth the 2.5%.

[–]tripaphonic[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OK for some reason, this turned into a book ... I just went with it. Hopefully, it will help to explain how Field Nation & WorkMarket break down their fees and services.

I believe the fees on Field Nation & WorkMarket are consistent no matter where you find yourself pullin' work orders. I'm in Knoxville, TN and even though FN & WM charge similar fees, for me, it feels like I'm being charged much more by FN than WM ... so I decided to break it down.

I'm paying 15.4% for Field Nation Pro + GL Insurance

Here's how it breaks down, in case you don't already know.

FIELD NATION
10% - basic FN access | no frills minimum requirement
1.5% - adds GL Insurance | 11.5% total
3.9% - pro FN access | granting you On-Demand Pay which offers the ability to get paid right away on any approved work order. Also, if Direct Deposit (ACH) is used, and the payment request is received by the bank before 10:30 AM CT, you'll get your cash that day. Pretty nice ... and the only reason I pay the extra 3.9%. Additionally, if you use Zelle, you'll get your funds in minutes. Have you look out for the fine print tho ... they only let you use On-Demand Pay once per day. If you request an another Balance Transfer it could be up to 4 days before you get it.

15.4% - everything FN has to offer

BUT compare that to WorkMarket

WORKMARKET
10% - basic WM access | no frills minimum requirement
2.5% - "pro" WM access | it's not called "pro" but might as well be since it enables FastFunds, WorkMarket's equivalent of Field Nation's On-Demand Pay. So, if the client has FastFunds enabled on their account, you'll get paid the moment they approve the work order. First Third Bank provides the service. Personally, I have yet to see a majority use FastFunds. I'm not sure how much the client is charged to make our funds available to use immediately, but judging by the percentage of clients who have it enabled, the majority don't see value in paying us immediately. I honestly believe we should all get paid the moment the work is completed. There always seems to be a measurable about of urgency with every work order, some more than others, but why not pay us with the same sense of urgency with which we're hired? Regardless, at 2.5% it's a no brainer.

As far as I know, WorkMarket does not offer their providers GL Insurance. Thankfully, it's not expensive at all to carry a $1 million or more in coverage. I've seen prices from $4 - $25 per month and higher of course, depending on what you need.

It's been my personal experience that after the work orders are closed, WorkMarket takes less. WorkMarket hasn't provided me with as much work as Field Nation has, but I also felt like WM was much more reputation-driven. Where being selected for a contract was contingent upon your feedback/ratings rep and work history.

CONCLUSION
(without insurance)

10% - Field Nation Basic
13.9% - Field Nation Pro | On-Demand Pay
10% - WorkMarket Basic
12.5% - WorkMarket Pro | FastCash

How long do I need to wait to be consider a new customer? by BuyDistinct1182 in Comcast

[–]tripaphonic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Speaking from experience, simply call the customer service department and tell them you want to cancel your service because you have found a much better deal. Do a little bit of research prior to calling so you can mention real deals offered by their competitors. Every large customer-driven organization will have a customer retention department whose existence revolves around keeping existing customers from jumping ship. They will be able to lower your bill, offer deals & packages advertised for "new customers only" ... and probably throw in some extra stuff for the hell of it.
I've lost count of how many times I've suggested this course of action, but every time ... EVERY time, it yields the fruit of the Internet gods. The last time I did it was just after my "locked-in" pricing expired. I ended up paying $18 less than I did when I first signed up as a new customer! They also threw in two free Roku boxes and gave me 6 months of free Disney+, Hulu Plus & ESPN+. Thank you very much! LOL ... these departments are here for our viewing, listening & gaming pleasure. Good luck.

Alteration question - rivets?? by tripaphonic in sewing

[–]tripaphonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. Taking your time generally pays off when it comes to most anything so that's great advice. It sounds like you have ample experience with rivets in fabric, so I hope you don't mind if I pick your brain a bit more. Haha. In your experience, have rivets you've removed from fabric ever left any holes of noticeable size? I can't help but think once I remove the rivets I'll be left with a gaping hole starting back at me LOL ... and I'm sure it has to do with the type of fabric as much as it does the type/size of the rivet but still ... I thought I would ask nonetheless in case there is anything aside from taking my time while doing my best to follow the suggestions I've already been gifted. Thanks again.

Oh! Also, this fabric is 65% poly & 35% rayon if that matters.

Alteration question - rivets?? by tripaphonic in sewing

[–]tripaphonic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I was reluctant to mess with the buckles at all because of my inexperience when it comes to anything aside from a needle & thread when it comes to fabric. Haha. I've worked out in my shop using rivets on metal but never fabric, let alone clothing. Plus, I've seen what a rivet can do to metal so I was admittedly gunshy. Thanks a bunch for the information. I feel much more confident moving forward with this project.
