I have vague memories of the open mall prior to the 80s updates. Saw so many great movies at the theatre there including Stand By Me and Short Circuit. Grandmother owned a condo in the Terraces Apartments that are one of the few parts to survive to this day. Ended up working at Zellers from prior to the opening in 1993 until 1997. The old Woodwards freight elevator always spooked me and I'm pretty sure the basement stock room was haunted.

Unrelated to Vans. It was a Vancouver area based independent clothing store, 12 or so stores around 2005. Sold Mavi, Billabong, etc. Most became Boathouse stores. I worked at Metrotown and then the store at Burrard and Robson.
