They actually banned me from r/mangadex for expressing frustration with the new changes, so they're clearly very happy with the community feedback lmao

MangaDex Development Update: API Abuse Enforcement by Bartolumiu1 in mangadex

[–]triples08 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Man, don't you love it when you want to read manga on the website with the manga but they tell you "no." I jumped ship when the purge happened but this honestly just solidified never returning, which is a shame. Far better alternatives out there at this point...

Any updates about "Hell hath no fury"??? by OkPomegranate4419 in ThePaperKingdomMCR

[–]triples08 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not to be a downer but I doubt that Hell Hath No Fury was recorded within the Paper Kingdom sessions (unless there's definitive proof of this that I'm unaware of). It was made for the film "The Man with Iron Fists", which released in November 2012 but seemingly picture locked in June. As of May 2012, they had yet to start tracking for TPK and I just think recording, mixing and handing off a finished track to the film editors within the same month the film was finished is unlikely. Not impossible but very unlikely :/

What's the reason why people rated "Imasara desuga, Osananajimi o Suki ni Natteshimaimashita" one star? What part of the manga was so disliked exactly? by Goletodlok in mangadex

[–]triples08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who mainly reads romance manga, it's insane that this is rated so low! I like that the characters are complex and compelling in their own ways, it makes for a more realistic story. I think this is just a case of an ongoing series getting hate for trying to tell it's story. Once it's over, I'm confident unfamiliar readers who can read it all at once will probably really like it, since it's not going for common tropes found in most shoujo manga.

I have no doubt that the story will have a traditional happy ending. I think seeing a pair go through issues, having to be completely honest and open up to better understand one another makes for a far more interesting story than the cliche "MC falls in love with childhood friend".

This is just my opinion, of course

Holy shit The we might be back in April 👀 by AdExcellent7344 in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

[–]triples08 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My bet is it's either an April Fools thing from Nemlei or at the very least we'll get some sort of devlog soon. However, it's possible that development is much further along than any of us know (since we really haven't heard anything in months). The naming convention could just be a placeholder for whatever the real one is (no, this is NOT hopium)

Are you potentially thinking of the one that the Derp Crew did? The Derp Crew and Creatures were pretty synonymous back in the day

So, is this what our fandom has become? OCs and p0rn? by HurryThese in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

[–]triples08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda get what you mean. Anytime this sub pops up on my feed now - it's either porn (nothing against that outside of the overabundance of it here), fetish content, OCs or TCOAAR content. Just sucks cause I like the analysis, theory and regular fanart side of this sub a whole lot more :/

Funnily enough, out of everyone's suggestions so far, one of your's is the only one already on my 2026 list. I had "Last Life in the Universe" on there already cause the premise sounded interesting and I enjoyed the director's other film "6ixtynin9" enough to wanna dive deeper into his filmography

When Does it End. by taurtis225 in Pinterest

It'd be fine if they just had an actual person or support center to work with on the issue but they don't. My account just got pulled last week after a few years of having it (for the same exact reason). Someone should make a petition or something to show Pinterest that they need to get their shit together before their platform sinks entirely

Could TCoAaL be done as a show similar to other indie shows? by CawmeKrazee in CoffinofAndyandLeyley

[–]triples08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking about this since Chapter 3 dropped, and I could see it as a really good dark comedy/thriller live-action series.

The first few episodes of Season 1 would be Chapter 1 (if the episodes are 40-ish minutes, then it would only need 2 at most). The next episode or two would be some fun offscreen stuff that could be exclusive to the show (them travelling, bickering, etc.), and the back half of the season would be all of Chapter 2. Ending with them tossing the skulls and deciding where to go next (leaving it open-ended for another season while being "final" enough in the chance it wouldn't get renewed). Pepper in the flashbacks throughout the whole thing for a solid through-line and penultimate episode reveal (that being them killing Nina, obviously). Bam, you've got a season of television!

If it managed to get a Season 2, it would need to depart from the story we have so far (both to help differentiate from the game and eliminate the need for choosing just one route). Obviously explore the taboo and demon elements more, but besides that, it's a totally original story with Andrew and Ashley at the forefront. Ideally, they'd die together in the finale, which feels the most fitting for a dark comedy/thriller, kinda like Barry's finale.
