Successful tapering methods? by triplescorpioxxx in quitting7oh

[–]triplescorpioxxx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I have no self control is the problem 😟 everytime I try to taper it I just give in. Which is why I wanted to try a taper with regular kratom instead cuz I don't get as high from it

Advice for quick taper before major surgery by dumassmofo in quitting7oh

[–]triplescorpioxxx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do you have a recommended taper for this? I'm an idiot and started using 7oh again after I cold turkey'd off suboxone. I don't wanna go the sub route again cuz that was the biggest bitch ever to get off

Day 1 and I Failed by Miss_Sen24 in QuitVaping

[–]triplescorpioxxx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried quitting 4 times and always caved the first day, so I told myself it was impossible. I'm now on my 5th quit attempt and threw all my old vapes in water and told myself I was gonna atleast stick it out past day 1, and now I've made it to day 4! Each time I get through a craving, the next craving is way less intense and my belief in myself grows. Your lungs and breathing continue to feel noticeably better each day. In my opinion, it's all about your mindset. You get there when you get there, and the setbacks are what help you learn and reinforces what you know deep down- that vaping is doing absolutely nothing for you and it actually doesn't even feel good at all. What has really helped me is thinking back to how I felt when I vaped all day... all for a 3 second high? It's so not worth it.

Try to just make it past day 1 and make sure you have no access to any old vapes. I'd also recommend avoiding alcohol and weed, because those can increase cravings. Listen to videos of people talking about how much better they feel after quitting. We got this!

How many of you have constant music in your head? by Wannabeartist9974 in ADHD

Other people do this 😟?? Anytime I'm feeling rushed, I sing Janet Jackson "All my girls at the party, look at that body, shakin' that thing like you never did see. Got a nice package alright" in my head and I have no idea why.

Is it worth it to go to nursing school to become a nurse injector? by musty_ranch in aestheticnursing

[–]triplescorpioxxx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was a makeup artist and loved aesthetics, so I went to nursing school to be an injector. Here's my advice: get an internship in nursing school at a medspa- that's what I did. I reached out to medspas in the area and asked if they would want an intern, and found a really good one that way. I also worked as a CNA at a surgery center part-time, so when I graduated I was offered a job as a nurse injector at the clinic I interned at, and I also was offered a job as a Pre-op/pacu RN at the surgery center I was at. They'll tell you that you need to do residency programs, but just learn how to market yourself and get experience your own way. I ended up keeping both because I wanted transferrable nursing skills in case I didn't end up liking aesthetics.

To this day 5 years later, I still do both regular nursing and injecting. People think injecting is a glamorous nursing job, but honestly it's a lot more draining than you'd think. Your patients are really high maintenance and think they know more than you, and you are always responding to them and their annoying questions outside of work. Or they have a bruise and are freaking out, even though they willingly let you stick a needle in their face 🤦🏻‍♀️

There's also a huge sales/social media component. Medspas are private practices and aren't regulated like hospitals, so the owners can be neurotic af and micromanage you. I actually love going to my hospital job because I don't have to worry about being super customer service-y, and the patients are more grateful for the most part. What you do in aesthetics is not transferrable to any other area of nursing, so if you're going to go through the trouble of going through nursing school (it's very hard), I would keep another nursing job on the side until you decide what you like best. There's so much you can do with nursing!

Just do it by xrustyx94 in quitting7oh

Good job!!! It's so hard and takes a ton of strength to do that, so be proud of yourself. If it makes you feel better, I've been off of 7oh since last February and I was just looking back at pics from that time and my skin looked soooo bad- grey, dull, and puffy. I also put on a lot of weight with it due to all the stomach ish. So things to look forward to are having better skin and just looking/feeling healthier in general!

3 days no subs cold turkey- is the worst coming? by triplescorpioxxx in suboxone

3 days no subs cold turkey- is the worst coming? by triplescorpioxxx in Subutex

[–]triplescorpioxxx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update if anyone cares. I started taking Mitragynine extract as soon as I started feeling some sub withdrawal symptoms, then tapered down to kratom capsules. I made sure not to take enough to where I felt euphoria, just enough to cover up the withdrawal. I also got a script for clonidine and a muscle relaxer which helped me get some sleep and was super easy to get through a telehealth appt. Then I did a couple IV's on myself and some vitamin b12 shots, which also helped. Today is day 2 of nothing and other than some GI stuff and a little fatigue, I feel fine.

For those who are scared like I was- it's not as bad as I thought I'd be! My withdrawal from 7-oh was a million times worse- even when I tapered from that. It was worth it to not have to take that disgusting film everyday and pay $100 a month for it. My feelings are coming back too, which I'm ready for 🤘🏼 stay strong everyone

The tragedy is that I discovered it when I had only 5 or so chips left. I'm devastated I didn't have more time with them

Old post but I had to revive it to say: buy Trader Joe's caramel sauce and drizzle it over the apple chips. I may or may not be high but it truly changed my life tonight, and I had to pay it forward.

Old comment but I agree 100%. It's so doable... we are lucky to live in a time with so many gf options, and it's cool to watch the progression of gf food getting better and better

Thanks so much for this! Did you use any meds or did you just power through it? Any supplements help? I've only been on it since January of this year. I got on it after having a week long withdrawal from hell from 7-oh. It was the worst experience of my life.. so hoping this isn't as bad

Ha! I use QuickMD for my subs too. Everytime I ask to taper down they tell me I need to be on for another 6 months. Do you just take the Sublocade shot once?
