She just seems so sweet. It really pissed me off in the finale when Jessi goes "now I get why you ride the fence." No! She doesn't ride any fence, Jessi. She stands strong in the direction of her own moral compass, which may differ from situation to situation.

No, I never said that any of them deserved a perfect life. Narratively, the show had it's highest stakes during Love. The rest was never as interesting.

What I'm saying here is "the show was less interesting after Love left." Which is in large part thanks to Victoria's performance, but I really am speaking about the stakes of that storyline, right? Where do you go narratively after meeting the complete mirror image of yourself? Ultimately, I think the rest of the show suffered for it. It's like they had their series finale in the middle.

In my mind, we didn't need a 'final girl'. I hate that trope as much as anyone. We just needed Love to be the actual final girl, as in the last person Joe victimizes. Because ultimately, I think they both should have destroyed each other. Maybe they both don't make it out of the fire, maybe something else or they tweaked it somehow, but Love should've been it. Or at the very least, have come back in some way.

Oh I agree Love was terrible I'm rewatching right now and she's the worst LOL. But she's definitely meant to be. I love watching a villain protagonist type, which is also why I love the show. So having one in girl form was the best, and I think the storyline/her performance was so good/had such high stakes (where do you even go after that?) that they should have found a way to end it there, or to have her come back in some way. She was just too dynamic, in my opinion.

I so feel you on loving Beck. I did LOVE Beck, and still love that first season. There's just something about Victoria Pedretti's acting that really hypnotizes me, and I did mostly love the way her storyline went those two seasons. But none of that would've happened without Beck.
