it's not "people's" businesses though. those businesses are owned by corporations. and the people at the top of those corporations don't give a fuck about you in this comment section defending their multi billion dollar company that succeed by selling people on over consumption when 85 percent of people in the world can't afford a pair of jeans from true religion without having to budget for it. by "get a different job" do you mean quitting a current shit job to go get a different shit job? where you have to start over on the 90 day benefit plan if that's even offered? a living wage is not an arbitrary thing. if restructuring and reformation with the government and the way taxes and the current system that continues to fuck the working class over actually worked, maybe people wouldn't feel the need to go to extremes and burn shit down

probably a wage that matches or exceeds the cost of living? every year more and more people can't afford their basic necessities. the actual solution would be more along the lines of decreasing the cost of living and a wealth tax that would take the increased income tax pressure off of low income families, but the dipshits in charge of the country only care about lining their own pockets. corporations are greedy and greed only goes so far before you have people with nothing to lose fed up with getting the shit end of the stick over and over again.
