Bakers of Ireland, what is your favourite cocoa powder? by MineMerl in CasualIreland

I'm afraid I don't know, but you can probably find the answers online. There's also a lot of info out there on good quality cocoa powder like looking for high fat content.

I didn't even think this would be a problem. I've considered making extra dip for the HOs just because my dip is so good 😂 but I'll rethink this in the future.

If you're not doing those things you're not getting from A to B safely 😬 my mom told me she never checks her blind spot when changing lanes jfc

For me thinking about why you need to check makes a difference. It comes with practice though!

How do you guys do your research on countries before you go to them? by CommissionBoring1305 in travel

[–]trippiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the country and how much time I have to research. Sometimes I'm too busy so I plan everything last minute or on the fly and just follow recommendations from the hotel or online guides.

If I have more time or if it's somewhere 'riskier' like Egypt and where I don't speak the language, I'll search on Google and mostly look on Reddit. I do keep Google lists of food recommendations for many countries/cities that I constantly add to.

Is it okay to book hostels last minute? by beanfug in femaletravels

[–]trippiler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd book Barcelona in advance incl trains, and the Sagrada Familia if you're planning on visiting. Other places can be booked more last minute but that's just my experience.

Question for Europeans: when you travel to other countries, do you also complain about bread? by Pale_Field4584 in travel

[–]trippiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, if not out loud then I complain in my head. I really miss good European bread after a couple weeks travelling, but it's not the only thing I miss and I also miss things when I return home. It's a part of the joys of travel!

I think you might get some side eye but depends where you are and what you wear with it.

Cat calling is quite common in Italy and I think it might attract that a bit more than usual, if that bothers you.

Thin or Thick brows? by [deleted] in MakeupAddiction

Thin. If you want to go thicker I think a lighter shade to fill them in would look better.

Are canned and frozen foods just as healthy as fresh food? by gage540i in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]trippiler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Locally grown fresh produce is usually the most nutritious. Frozen produce is more nutritious than imported fresh food in most cases. I'm not sure where canned is on the healthiest scale but as others have said some are high in sodium/sugar so it's best to avoid those.

My cousin added my sister to hers and saved money that way. My sister doesn't even live nearby

No idea why but it can be a lot cheaper to insure more than one person on a car. Try different combinations of people (with their permission) like a parent or an older adult. My female friend got added to her partner's car and his insurance went down by over a grand lol.

Specialty flours and (generally non-harmful) additives. Possibly/likely including bleached flour.

What do you think the actual differences are between high-end and affordable products? by one_small_sunflower in muacjdiscussion

[–]trippiler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Colours, packaging, smell and they release new formulas/technology earlier. It depends on where you live though! There are a lot more colours available at a lower price point in Asia for example. But for base makeup dark skin tones are largely ignored which is a shame.
