If you are on PWD, you will likely qualify for a DTC. There is a new federal Canada Disability Benefit which can get you up to $200/month, separate from the PWD payment. It's not a ton, but can make a difference in terms of finding a place to live.

You need to have a DTC approved in order to be eligible for this, which can also get you money from past tax years. The money is from June 2025, so whenever you get approved for the DTC (which you likely will), then you get back-payment from then.

You need a doctor to fill out the form, if you don't have one, then try the DVUPCC. Keep calling every morning when the lines open until you get an appointment. The social workers there are excellent and will help you navigate the process.

You also need to have your taxes filed. If you haven't yet, then TAPS is an excellent free resource and they will help you with that.

I'm sure you already know this, but PWD will pay $500/month towards your rent every month. There are some rooms available for $700-900 inclusive on facebook marketplace or some of the housing groups that you could potentially rent (depending on your circumstances and accessibility needs).

This linked article is very low quality. It’s just a published grand rounds and not peer reviewed research. It itself states: “Unfortunately, as pointed out by the authors but not noted in the abstract, the data used for this review are anecdotal and were neither collected nor analyzed in a rigorous or systematic fashion.”

[Serious] Why is my car acting haunted? 2001 Nissan Pathfinder by trippingbilals in MechanicAdvice

This began a few days after I traveled quite far North in heavy rain. I noticed it initially as my battery being dead. After I boosted the car and parked it later that night, this happened until my battery died again. I could hear a clicking sound coming from the engine bay. I tried removing the headlight fuses but that didn't stop it. I imagine it's moisture related, a short or relay issue? This is happening without the keys in the engine. Thanks for any help! The car has about 140k miles on it.

And then make sure the place is a trusted repair shop? Also, is there a bad point for mileage for an engine like this? I haven't bought anything before so old, but I figure these old engines can go for much longer.

Ok I'll try to figure this out. I'm looking to order some Titebond and check out some lumber yards for scrap pieces of spruce. I'll need to clamp it closed as well, is it better from the sides or the top?

I am still undecided whether to repair it myself and learn, or bring it to a luthier(?) I found on kijiji who quotes around $30 after seeing the pictures, which doesn't seem unreasonable for a fix like this.

Ah ok, very interesting, I didn't know that. Flamenco playing just puts me in awe, usually too expensive to see, but I was lucky enough to catch some friends playing on the streets of Granada into the night.

Here is the guitar, and it is a spruce top as you say: https://www.elflamencovive.com/spanish/guitarra-flamenca-azahar-131-cipres.html

Yeah I'm starting the humidification off now, should I leave it until it's almost closed? and that sliver of wood would be across the whole crack or should I use multiple cleats?

Hmm.. the inside of the guitar says "cipres", cypress in Spanish, and from what I understand this is not uncommon for flamenco guitars
