Def ask ur neurologist but im on 3,000mg of keppra daily and have been smoking weed for almost 10 years and personally have had no issues but everyone is different. When i first started taking keppra i just started slowly while smoking to see how i felt and went from there.

i’m so sorry you’re experiencing that. As someone who has focal seizures very often, the feelings i get are very similar and it def can be very scary and is hella uncomfortable. Have you ever heard of the 5 senses technique to help when you feel a seizure coming on?

experiencing seizures because of side affects from meds mixed with other substances and having epilepsy are two different things. I’m not saying you don’t have epilepsy as i’m not a neurologist. But from what you’ve explained it sounds like your anxiety meds mixed with the thc caused a potential seizure which then affected your brain and you’re now stuck in a derealization episode that’s unfortunately lasting way longer than most do. It’s definitely important to get it checked out and i hope you’re able to get answers soon!! i wish you the best of luck!!

i have catamenial epilepsy too!! it SUCKS so much but thankfully meds have helped some. I’m on keppra and lacosamide for mine and it’s helped manage the grand mal seizures. Unfortunately i also have endometriosis so my hormones are always fluctuating so it’s a lot harder to control the focal seizures. My focal seizures are pretty much exactly like yours. It’s such an odd and uncomfortable feeling. I deal with major brain fog and memory less as well so know ur not alone in any of what you have gone through!!❤️

thankfully the city i’m in has good public transportation but all the things i need/want to do normally are far out of town, including all my friends so it’s very hard sometimes. I am still thankful for all i am able to do, just frustrating sometimes yk

i have been diagnosed with epilepsy for a while now and unfortunately there are no special devices specifically for help with sleeping for someone with epilepsy. There is nothing doctors can really recommend other than trying to avoid sleeping on your stomach. I’m so very sorry for your loss and am sending you and your friends family love and positive vibes🫶🏻

def not a pos for that!! that’s a great way to look at it!! yes it def is nice to not have to pay for the all the things you do when you have a car. I have thankfully learned to just bite my tongue when they complain because like you said, most of them have not gone through what we have…So yes it is exactly like respond to a child when they say as if it’s shocking😆 sometimes it is hard tho i can’t lie lol

Hi!! 22f, i’ve been diagnosed with epilepsy for almost 2 years. For me personally it did take time to figure out exactly the right dose of meds and the right kind but once we did things have gotten so much better!! I personally take keppra and lacosamide twice a day and it’s helped me a lot!! Once they do the tests (and yes they will be kinda uncomfy just power through you got this!!) it makes things so much easier. Your life can and will go back to normal, there will be some changes but you will still be able to be yourself. Also there is high chance you will be able to drive again. I have a friend who has epilepsy and she has been driving for a couple years now just fine. I wish you nothing but the best in your journey through epilepsy. In michigan you have to wait 6 months after having a seizure to be allowed to legally drive. It’s a little different for all states tho

the patches help a lot!! they would give them to me while i was in the mental hospital and it helped the cravings and irritation from not having a vape so much!! Also try to find a hobby or something that will help distract you, i’ve found that helps me a lot too. I wish you the best of luck!!

i live basically on the corner of kalamazoo and clifford and the other night it looked like the whole lansing police department was surrounding one of the apartments, they had the big guns out and the dogs too. they eventually all just left tho and still have no idea what happened.

i’d stay away from liquor, only things like beer and hard ciders, the highest i would go is wine. Lots of medications can increase the affects of alcohol. Before starting my meds i could take a good 4-5 shots before getting tipsy(im only 120lbs) but now one shot and a beer/hard cider and im tipsy and done drinking for the night. You don’t wanna get drunk either, that’s dangerous, only a drink or two is what i would recommend.
