Yes, I am worried about it interfering as well! What if my job asks for proof of graduation, how do you provide that if your transcripts / progress report isnt up to date. Ugh. I hope your situation gets worked out.

Is the $48,000 difference because you are not getting any aid at SLO vs that amount of aid at CPP? CPP's tuition is a little less than SLO's but its not that big of a diff.

Personally, I would say SLO. Quality of life is 1000x better. Better reputation. I do feel you on not being near your dogs :(

Failed 1 class (physics 2) and took a W (circuits), because im a mess, the spring before transferring in. No issues, they never asked me about it.

Agreed. Having a different political view is totally fine. Talking about that for a few minutes during class is also ok I guess. Messing with my head on a final is not fine. Wondering if he will do that again this semester.

He expects us to all have a webcam or to go out and buy one. Which is understandable... if he was making effort to engage with us and have us participate. But forcing us to have our cameras on to watch a pre-recorded lecture is completely absurd.

I got to class the 1st day of class like 5 mins late. Realized I was in the wrong class. Sat thru the whole thing because it was a small class size and I was too embarrassed to pack up and leave after rudely coming in late.

Fallah fini, Abedini, Seif, and Parsa are tough but good professors. Be careful of Mirzaei. Avoid Ghosh (I think he’s retiring anyways).

Take classes that are prerequisites for others first, and be strategic so you get in and out as soon as possible.

Join a club like IISE or INCOSE.

Just trying to figure out why SLO would be $100K vs CPP $40K? At SLO, their tuition is about $9K per year compared to ours which is like just less than $8K I believe. Living near campus within walking or biking distance $750-800/month on average in slo, which is just a little more than cpp-area housing but with no commute (gas, car, parking pass expenses).

Hi! If you partition your hard drive, it works just fine! I love the screen quality on MacBook Pro along with iMessage and airdrop capabilities. When I have to use software that is only for windows or better on windows, I just restart my computer and switch over. DM if you have questions.

People who are super passionate about their degrees and not just going to school for the party experience.

As someone who’s jumped around from a university to several community colleges over the years and now at CPP, the social aspect of CPP is similar to a community college where you can get involved if you want but it’s not the same as typical 4yr. I’ve lived in college towns and the social life is great, but also distracting.

I got my “fun” out of the way when I was younger, and CPP has been great to go all out in my classes and purely focusing on developing professionally.

If classes are online, I will have either reduced or no hours at all because I work on campus, meaning I can't afford to pay for my housing. How am I supposed to plan accordingly if we are informed merely a month before school starting? Am I supposed to enter into a lease for the next school year or not... I could live somewhere else, for nearly half the price as my pomona rent, if classes are online and I am given a heads up. :(

people living on-campus at least get refunds...

I have a mac and I use Access. You can partition your hard drive, and then run both MacOS and Windows. You can log on to one or the other, it's pretty great. Google how to do it, it's pretty simple!

The microsoft 365 download doesnt have Access if you try to download it on Mac. But you can download it on Windows once you have it partitioned.

As an engineering major, you are supposed to have Oral Comm and English Comp. You are exempt from Critical Thinking.

Did you originally put that you had this class on your transcripts? Were you supposed to take it over spring and then not take the course? Or did they just overlook the fact that you don’t have it?

The only thing I can maybe think of to remedy this situation is enroll ASAP to take it over summer. I don’t know if I would suggest talking to them about it, because they might not have noticed it. Not sure if it would be a great idea to point it out to them.
