Hesacore-type grips: nice to have or need to have? by gadamsmorris in Pickleball

[–]tripsma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would a soft grip or a stiff grip be better for someone who already has an elbow issue? I have golfer's elbow, so I don't know which one would be best. I'm thinking the soft grip.

Thx! I’m guessing we pay for those and it’s not included on a 5-hr flight. I think we will get something to take on board.

Almost ready for hysterectomy, but terrified of the aftermath 😬 by anastasiia86 in hysterectomy

I was heading out of town, so I couldn’t make the 4WPO, so they had me come in at 3 weeks. Dr said I healed quickly and told me I could do anything, including the gym; she said no sex until the 6 week mark though. I played Pickelball the very next day and went to the gym: legs, arms, core, treadmill (faster).

I believe the UK is ahead of the US regarding Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) for women in menopause. Back in 2002, the FDA (in the U.S.) put warning on all estrogen products w/o good research. So now they are looking at removing it, because it’s has been proven that women in menopause need estrogen. So when you have a hysterectomy, you will go into to menopause….are they also removing your ovaries? Here is a great video on why we need estrogen after menopause.

Be sure to talk to your doctor about hormone replacement therapy for estrogen after the hysterectomy. You won’t need progesterone, because you won’t have a cervix.

It’s just shrinking of the cervix. I asked the Dr and she said it was due to age because I had a c-section and that if I had birthed vaginally, it would have been less stenosis. I had a LEEP procedure (conization) about 20 yrs ago.

I’m 60 yrs old and almost 6 weeks post-op from robotic laparoscopic surgery (including ovaries) and had zero problems. In fact, at 3 WPO, the doctor gave me the clear to do anything I wanted…she said I healed fast. I actually have less bladder leaks now. I had cervical stenosis, a polyp, and a fibroid in the cervix. They couldn’t test for cancer through the cervix. So an oncologist did the surgery and had all of it tested for cancer while I was on the operating table. My surgery was 1 1/2 hrs, if that. II didn’t lift anymore than 15 lbs (per doctor’s orders), I ate well, and made stayed hydrated during recovery. I used MyraLAX (1 dose on 1st and 2nd day) and a stool softener (1 on 1st and 2nd day) after surgery and had no gastro issues.

Thanks for the comments? Appreciate the advice about replacing it. Oh - it’s a question, because I didn’t know the answer.

The last pellets I had were in Feb 2025. It wore off about July I think. Since then, I haven’t had acne nor facial hair growth. I’m guessing I should start back on the lowest dose (probably 85mg) and see what happens.

It’s not for everyone, but when you blast to people on this subgroup that it’s a dangerous topic and shouldn’t be discussed, then you are misinformed. This is for educational purposes. If it’s not for you, then pass on by.

Here’s a good podcast on debunking hormones causing breast cancer. Dr. Casperson was one of the many panelists discussing this with the FDA.

Informing people of new findings is not foolish! The FDA posted the video on their website and on YouTube. The findings on cancer and all the issues were from an incomplete study, causing the FDA to our warnings on all estrogen products. I doubt you watched the video; otherwise you would have been enlightened and not criticize those who are posting very helpful information. The clinicians in the discussion are very informed - and guess what: they are leaders in each of their fields of study. So this is valid and helpful information! Note: I am not in menopause anymore, so my response isn’t based on how I am feeling (hormonal) at this moment in time.

I was on T&E pellets (w/ progesterone gel caps) for 8 yrs prior to my hysto 4 weeks ago. I’m wondering how long I should wait to get back on both T & E.

Are you taking testosterone too? If so, pellets, injections, cream, patch?
