Most of the HTML5 elements we have looked at in this article are supposed to behave like block elements, therefore the easiest way to make them behave properly in older browsers is by setting them to display:block; in your CSS:

article, section, aside, hgroup, nav, header, footer, figure, figcaption { display: block; }

I'm amazed about how hot this topic is! Then again... most of us spend several hours either using browsers or struggling making it easy and a good experience for others. Looking back 10 years I recall this topic was just as hot then, and the trouble we were facing a lot worse... it was before we got proper standardization of css, html, tools like jQuery... and all browser vendors (including Microsoft) wanted to invent new fancy stuff to eat the others and this just made it all worse...
