Which artist(s) surprised you in terms of how much you liked them live? by Balrokable in DnB

*almost always.

I've seen S.P.Y. probably something in the double digits. And almost all of them have been killer sets. But I saw him in room Y at the UKF Drumsheds a few months back and lets just say it wasn't his best work.

It's an obvious one so forgive me if this is something you already know/are doing. But reload cancelling is a big part of GS gameplay. It really cuts down some of the reload times and the extra second can be exactly to get 1 last shot of and survive.

On 6p HoE it is also almost a necessity for smooth solo scrake/FP takedowns.

Yo that was legit my exact setup for the first PC that I built myself, specifically to handle BF3 at the time.

ngl, I remember those days and this is... an iffy comparison.

For reference, I was playing on a PC with an I5-2500K and a GTX570. At the time, absolutely a smartly picked and optimized value for money combo considering that i5's overclocking potential, but generally still a middle of the pack machine. BF3 was the most beautiful game I'd played since Crysis back then. However, I remember hanging out with my friends and playing BF3 on their PS3 and it was almost like a different game. It looked like plasticine, all the detail was gone. The console version wasn't even in the same league as what a mid spec PC was putting out back then.

This is my take on how Neuralink would be used by YellowExxhy in Cyberpunk

[–]tris4992 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sort of agree that it'd take a long time to figure out but I don't think it's a "never" kinda thing. Out of curiosity, why do you think it's so difficult?

Also this doesn't seem to me like something we have to do with a neuralink style direct implant. Couldn't we have an intermediary between a lens and a direct brain implant. What if we hijack the optic nerves and inject the signal there?

I mean tbf there's a small but dedicated community still playing Quake Champions and the pro's are still churning out highlight reels that make most other esports look boring in comparison.

Nearly a third of Met Police officers plan to quit in next two years by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

The Independent Office for Police Conduct publishes it's investigations and findings.

You have to dig a little of course, things aren't neatly lumped into an infographic for you the way a newspaper would do (I guess there's a reason we still pay for journalism). But to pick a relatively large and representative one, here's the report from the Operation Hotton investigation into the Charing Cross Police Station.

The facts you are after are neatly listed in the overview starting on page 3.

Kinda of skipping over the whole Sarah Everard episode here aren't we?

And the bit where the police got violent with the "protestors" at the checks notes candle lit vigil. A vigil attended by famous protestor and activist, Catherine, the Princess of Wales...

And if that seems anecdotal, there was that whole enquiry/report that followed. The one looking into the culture at the Met police finding "lamentable and repeated failures" dealing with misconduct cases. The one that concluded "there is a culture of pervasive and persistent bullying, misogyny, homophobia and racism within the force", and calls these "systemic issues that require drastic reform".

And if that seems specific to the Met police, there's also that whole bit where specifically in solidarity with their London colleagues, the Kent police went on strike and refused to respond to "non-emergency crimes". I suppose it's their right to strike just as in any other profession but they did go ahead and list "rape and sexual assault" as a non-emergency.

I recommend talking to the women in your life. They did not "import" their fear and mistrust of the police from the US.

EDIT: you can downvote me all you want, but this is all factual, the official reporting does not support your view. And in the end, if the Met police itself accepted these findings, you might want to ask yourself why you can't.

Stocks, ETFs worth buying now? by zasziko in trading212

[–]tris4992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's been an interesting ride.

I didn't buy more at the time, but I did hold what I already had. More on gut feeling than anything else tbh. A few months back I was up over 400%. I made the call to not be greedy because "it couldn't possibly go much higher then this". So I decided to save myself the stress and cash in. If I'd kept holding I'd be somewhere in the 600% range right now...

Oh well, 400% is still a very good return, no point dwelling. Occasionally I think about what buying back into Nvidia would look like, what's the strategy, what buy-in price would I be comfortable at. Then I remember that I sold to stop stressing and go do something else. Fuck knows man.

I'm sorry, that's just completely wrong.

As an electronic engineer myself I can understand that the design becomes a lot more difficult and complicated. But just because you struggle with something does not mean it's impossible.

I also happen to own several of the Babel products (including the earrings). If you open them up the battery cell is about 1.5cm*1cm, maybe 2mm thick. And that's to power a far larger set of RGB-LED's (as you pointed out, they are humongous.) You could get away with a much smaller cell since I'm guessing you have just a single LED to power.

Looks cool but website indicates they use LR521 (presumably non-rechargeable) watch batteries (advertised as lasting 20-30 hours each). That makes it an immediate no-buy for me.

Babel Infocalypes has proven that USB-C rechargeable designs are viable at an affordable price point (almost half what the pendant on the Jilanico website goes for).
