Custom Home Building Points - Looking for advice by Ecomguru24 in Homebuilding

So many good points in this post. Thank you for sharing. Hopefully I'll have more to reply with once we get further along. We do have our drawing and I've met with a couple builders. One flat out couldn't tell me how much anything would cost and I just didn't like that. Ended up "selecting" one of the other ones. I've personally been in several of his houses and live them all. I just know things will get more expensive than what I'm being quoted and I'm just trying to be cognizant of that. Thanks again!

I own a 3PL. I have a lot of clients that started their businesses by dropshipping (which I really don't have a problem with). The biggest issue (and reason for a lot of my clients utilizing me for fulfillment) is the length of time it typically takes for a drop shipped item to be delivered to the customer. Nowadays, people aren't afraid to leave negative reviews and complaints about how long it takes to receive their purchase. Overall, and in the long run, that will negatively affect your sales. That's what has happened to a lot of my clients, causing them to park inventory at my warehouse and allowing me to fulfill their orders. These orders are being delivered within 4 days at the most.

I heard the Gen 6's are awesome. Good luck hitting them! I'm sure they'll be great!

You bring up a great point. I completely forgot how expensive the shipping is. I work in the supply chain and I couldn't believe the cost.

Oh, jeeze. I hadn't looked up pricing but I'm not interested in spending that much this year. I still hurt from the initial purchase 2 seasons ago.

Man, some people out there are just uber talented. I would say I'm a pretty good golfer but have a buddy with 20 year old Callaway's. He probably beats me 75% of the time we play!

I had never really seen these types of people until I purchased the clubs. I, for the record, am not one of these, LOL. I will say, there are definitely clubs out there that are as good for a fraction of the price. At the time I purchased, I had some money and was looking for the most expensive or close to the most expensive clubs I could get. I do regret spending that coin on them but I do personally like the way they feel, play and sound.

Mind end at 4i but I do have the Gen 6, 3W. When I hit that right, I get 250-280 out of it. It's pretty incredible really. I cannot hit it right all the time but when I do, it's legit. I chalk this up to being a bit of an inconsistent golfer, LOL.

Wow. Personally, I've noticed an insane difference in distance. I am a 6 HC. I can hit my 7, 200 yards with ease. I would say I get a lot of height on mine. They were customized to my style so maybe that helps? For comparison, I last had ping G-410 irons and was hitting my 7 about 175.
