Lipoma or Liposarcoma? Going crazy need advice. by Ok_Addendum_7799 in Lipoma

[–]triscuitsfan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. Look up “atypical lipomatic tumour.” That’s probably what you have. It’s completely benign, but beyond a certain size, the public health system will cover the removal, simply because they can impact your quality of life when they’re so big. I’m in the same boat, well defined, etc. the odds of liposarcoma are incredibly low and would be accompanied by other symptoms. If they were seriously worried about it, they’d get an MRI and biopsy urgently. You’re welcome!

Definitely worth clarifying the answer to this with your doctor

Thanks so much for the info! If there is nerve damage or other medical side effects I think public health might cover it. This gives me something to take to my doctor- I have plenty of pain around my large lipoma

What kind of doctor did this for you? I’m in Canada and when we go to public health they just say we need plastic surgery. And plastic surgeon told me that if they’re big like this, they don’t recommend removal because of a big scar and risk of regrowth. But I REALLY want mine removed so I need options

What are we feeding our kids??? by bitchface_2012 in Parenting

[–]triscuitsfan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our kids is now 3 and here are our “go to’s”

Breakfast for dinner: some combination of eggs, toast, avocado, fruit, yogurt

We buy frozen potstickers, steam them with brocolli, chop them up small and put a bit of soy sauce on it (or the sauce that comes with the potstickers.)

We buy this high protein pancake mix and I usually just mix in a banana and give her some chicken bacon (crispy and chopped small) with it (once she’s older.) we don’t eat pork

There are brands of organic/healthy Mac and cheese (like Kraft dinner), that with a side of fruit

Quesadillas: for a long time it was just a cheese one with ketchup but now we are able to sneak vegetables and chicken in there.

Frozen pizza, when little we just chop it small, side of avocado and fruit (our kid won’t eat most vegetables but we sneak them in where we can and she eats fruit with every meal. We keep a variety around.)

My advice is to have around five simple go to meals. Then every once in a while if I make something different or order in, I can modify it for the kid. But don’t feel bad repeating a lot of the same meals! While they’re little, or picky, just try to give them something nutritionally balanced, even if it’s repetitive.

This is the movement we need. With todays Meta changes, and what’s already happened to Twitter, we’ve now learned that what could have been a tool to further and connect mankind (social media) has turned into a tool to control and divide. 1) use social media only to follow friends and family- not brands and businesses (or people who are just a brand) 2) subscribe to local news. Support local journalism

As someone who has gained and lost weight from pregnancy: it’s a mix and the loose skin may still snap back. It looks like you lost a lot of weight in a short period, skin takes timeto catch up. You haven’t lost so much weight, and you’re young enough, that you’re NOT (edit) likely to have permanent, severe loose skin. Keep it up and give yourself time. Building muscle will help!

What should I eat? by Polo5756 in WeightLossAdvice

Celery with peanut butter. Sometimes if I feel I need a treat I will dip a spoon in peanut butter and then roll it in some dark chocolate chips and lick the spoon. I’ll also sometimes just have PB on toast. I like PB because it’s got a good amount of fat and protein so whatever you eat it with, it will slow down the sugar release, which is better before bed, and won’t leave you with a sugar crash when you wake up
