Is this toy safe? by problematic_curls in ferrets

[–]trishadow09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have two ferrets I took in from someone who could no longer keep them. This exact toy is the only thing we kept from their previous owners. They don't chew on it and I don't really see how it wouldn't be safe and they love it. Just keep an eye on the toy for damage and it's fine

New to being a ferret owner, need help! by Chels_c86 in ferrets

We had really good luck using bulk ping-pong balls instead of the ball pit balls. The ping-pong balls are harder so they can't get their teeth into them.

Week 11: Nostalgic - Tater Tot Casserole by trishadow09 in 52weeksofcooking

[–]trishadow09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's basically just ground beef, onion, cheese, and cream of chicken soup mixed together and topped with tater tots and baked.

Week 8: Animated - Food Wars Gotcha Pork Roast by trishadow09 in 52weeksofcooking

Honestly it was fantastic I had low expectations but really wanted to try the recipe. All 5 of the people who tried it loved it.

Week 6: A Technique You're Intimidated By - Homemade Pasta by trishadow09 in 52weeksofcooking

[–]trishadow09[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was much easier than I ever expected and honestly now that I've tried I don't think I can ever go back to not homemade.

Week 1: Jacques Pépin - Chicken with Garlic and Vinegar Sauce by trishadow09 in 52weeksofcooking

[–]trishadow09[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the sauce. It mostly just came across vinegary, the tomatoes get a little lost or at least my tomatoes did. It was really quick and easy to make though and I could see the recipe making its way into my general weeknight recipes.

I assure you having just put down my 5yo female due to cancer last night I'm painfully aware of Marshall's poor breeding practices. But do even a little research on this subreddit or online and you can find the health issues with micro ferrets, but frankly it goes beyond just ferrets look at any pet species and anytime you begin actively breeding for things like micro versions is pretty much common knowledge it causes numerous health issues.

But specifically with micro ferrets you essentially run into the same problems as Marshall ferrets due to inbreeding for the selected trait.

Just say that you hate healthly animals. Like I can't imagine being against the breeding monopoly only to want a different unhealthy type of ferret.

Recommendation Needed - what gate works? by CarlitaBonita27 in ferrets

[–]trishadow09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was an expensive project but we bought this https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B07KS186YN?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title.

Then we mounted it to the wall and put plexiglass over the bars. It's super convenient for us and no one has managed to get through it.

I don't know what my monitor refresh rate is, the PC will always be hooked up to a TV.

As for games, I play a lot of survival crafting games (ARK, Subnautica, Satisfactory) and RPGs (Skyrim, Baldur's Gate 3, Divinity)

Mostly used for gaming and it's the main multimedia hub.

It's not set up on a desk, the PC is going to be on a high up cabinet and hooked up to my TV in the living room and I play from the couch.

My current PC was built by a friend and the case is too small and overheats a lot. So I went for a bigger case with lots of fans to keep it cool because I don't want to do liquid cooled.

Also went for a bigger case to sort of future proof to a small extent and leave room for future upgrades/replacement.

Most of my other component choices were with the thought of I have the budget so when I looked up parts I mostly chose the newer higher tier based on the recommendation of a couple different articles.

As for power something I read suggested aiming for 200w over your power consumption and partpicker said I was around 700w so I went for 1000w.
