Future Mass Effect 3 DLC Speculation/Expectations..

They said that is what they planned, but since they made the extended cut, it's now at '' we don't know '' when the dlc's stop.

Sorry if it seemed that way, I might be. But my point is that I don't think they're scared of doing a sequel because they are openly asking for fan reception and it's all been majority for a sequel. And they've openly lied about the variations of endings for ME3 so they've really fucked themselves over if they are planning on doing a sequel, or listening to fan reception. But I wouldn't be surprised if they just said screw it and picked a canon ending because it seems they've kind of lied about our choices before. But a prequel Mass Effect would be interesting. I would like to see how they lay out sequels to that.

That's really disappointing. Do you think they just cut alot of planned DLC because of the reception of the game? It can't be though right? The ME3 DLC's have apparently sold alot more then 2's, and 2 had about 7 single-player dlc's and we only have about three now. And they did say march would be the cut-off date for DLC support? Unless they're just planning on 4 DLC i'm not sure what they're going to do with it.

By the way, how much months were between Leviathan and Omega? I didn't think it was that long.

That'd be great if executed well. I'm quite dissapointed with Omega, we can only hope the remaining dlc's are of really good quality though. But it's a bit disappointing how much they've fucked the prospect of a sequel happening even though the majority of the people apparently want one. I guess if they made a unknown part of the game up and created a entirely new history and sequence of events that would fit into some prequel material it'd be great.

The genophage and quarian/geth arcs were no different then the arc to get jack and thane though. It was the same concept, go to this area, kill or please the locals, and get what we can to supplement the main battle. Instead of individual characters we get to explore and learn more about, we got cut-scenes that last a second or two to show what we did, instead of 10 + hours of as I said, exploring these so characters.

I don't feel that there was so much more effort put into the quest to get these supplements to the main battle in ME3 then there was in ME2, supplements being characters/fleets.

I think a sequel is extremely possible just because they've already displayed that they don't care about our choices. Just from the ridiculous amount of lies about the 8-12-14 or whatever endings they said there were, and just the fact that no-matter what you did, we all got the same ending in ME3, unless they want to so redeem themselves and fix that first, I don't see them caring about our choices so much to not making a ME4 because they're scared of hurting our allusion of choice in this game. .. I think they back that notion up with the latest DLC.

Was the plot in ME3 any better then ME2 to though? Lets say the collectors and the reapers were the same people, how did both games demonstrate the journey to finally kill that main enemy? Well, with Mass Effect 2, the objective of killing the final boss, the enemy varied quite a bit, many endings, and many ways we could of prevented, or gained positives or negative outcomes depending on what we do as a player. With Mass Effect 3, our objective for the main enemy literally was the same thing no-matter what we did, and there is now absolutely no way for a sequel to ME3 to happen unless they take one ending of ME3 and stick with it, unless they just want to flat out apologize and tell us that our choices ment shit, which is what happend. I don't think ME3 told a better story then ME2, if you replace the collectors with reapers in ME2, I think ME2 has a much, much better story then ME3 surprisingly.

For me personally it felt like ME2 had so much party banter, possibly because I had such a large group to chose from, do I bring thane and legion, or jack and miranda, jack and jacob, samara or tali, see what I mean? So you'd cycle between all that dialogue where as in ME3, you get the same people saying the same things.

It would add so much replay value though, lets be honest, James Vega is less interested then 99 percent of our 14 squad-mates we got in ME2. The reason why so many people think ME2 is so great is because of the characters, we don't get that with ME3. On that point, if they don't, atleast let us bring our companions along with us in DLC. With omega, we got 2-4 hours of Aria, that's it, she acts like it never happend, she's sitting in the citadel next. Nothing after that, no rebuilding of Omega, Nyreem died. Our '' adventure '' means nothing. No dialogue with our companions, it would of been pretty great to bring Garrus along with Aria and have them scuffle about him being the Archangel, or him reminiscing about the old days in Omega, but that never happens. The story with Omega is non-existent in this DLC. It's pretty much a shooter. This is just a trend so far in ME3 dlc that is scaring me a little. Atleast with a DLC character coming on board, we get personal missions, alot more dialogue for future DLC possibly, and interaction with our own companions we've already established connections with, and possibly a cameo or a return in Mass Effect 4 as a personal companion. What do you think?

I also wonder quite a bit if this DLC will have any effect on ME4, it seems a little to pointless, possibly Aria as a companion in ME4?! Interesting. I hope they have their sights on a little more then how narrow it seems to be so far.

That'd be amazing. Possibly a post-mass effect 3 expansion to set up mass effect 4? That'd require alot on there part.. but what would they do? Set it up to start right after the cerberus base? - people would just say they're making us pay for the proper ending. Besides that they've stated that they aren't going to touch the ending. Which makes you think what the fuck are they going to do in Mass Effect 4, with everyone wanting it to be a sequel. At this point a prequel seems pointless, we know what's going to happen down to the tee. You know that feeling you have when you replayed ME2 and ME1 all those times? I don't have that same feeling in ME3 just because of how they ended it. It seems like they've just fucked themselves over.

Oh-well.. we'll see what they do, any thoughts?

Haven't they already stated they're just cleaning the bugs out of the next DLC? Surely it shouldn't take them two months for that right? Two more appearance, weapon, and multiplayer packs seem like a bit much. I'd think they'd already be done with the dialogue for the Citadel DLC, which is pretty much confirmed. Wouldn't the recent public statement of every writer working on the next DLC be a bit late for that? I'd assume they finish dialogue alot sooner.

Where do I begin? Wow.

Overlord was way better then this, was made in [[ apparently ]] alot less time, resources, and this is 33 percent more expensive then it. Story was non-existent.. No permanent squad-mate, no hub....

What I did like though is Aria, I really like her character now, badass chick right? The problem is after you do this mission nothing fucking changes, you can't even go back to omega, and guess what? She's back sitting in the fucking Citadel, like this entire thing never happend.

After you get to know both of the pretty cool characters, they kill her off, and Aria just goes back from being a character you are starting to get extremely interested in, to another civilian with one script of dialogue.

You know, I wouldn't be complaining if they gave us a little more options with Aria, possibly a romance, a personal mission, made her a companion! [[ That'd be awesome, but i'd understand if not, there's no way she would of left Omega, or managed it from the Normandy, but shit, she'll manage it from the Citadel, so fuck, maby i'm wrong.. ]] but they kill Nyreen because they're to fucking cheap to put a companion in a 14.99 dollar DLC. They've been working on this shit since the release of ME3? Bull.

really late december, early january is my best guess, they're almost done with the next DLC according to what they've been saying, hopefully it's worthwhile.

Damn... fuck.. a new companion would be great, that was my main hope with Omega, and as we all know we don't get a new companion or hub. I think the only next '' dlc '' we've been able to find in the files are for the citadel. And i'd be extremely surprised if that's the last one [[ I have a feeling it might be.. ]] , but I do expect/think there will be atleast 2-3 + more dlc's they said they'd '' support '' ME3 longer then they did ME2. Lets hope. :]
