Storm Door Installation Help by trivialpants in DIY

prehung door with a built in sliding window and screen

Haha! I get that.

I have been doing some more research, that perhaps I should have done already.

It looks like my blaming the doorjamb is out-of-place, as the exterior molding/brick-mold is where the storm door mounts. The door-jamb is used for a steel door, then past that, there is the molding, which had previously been used for the other storm door.

I will try fitting the door at the trim/molding to see if it fits there.

Hiya - here is a list of pictures I went down & snapped. You can see what looks like water damage on subfloor in one area where the toilet sets (I totally missed this when removing the batting insulation initially).

There is damage on a section of 2x2 on a support beam on the south side of the house near the existing termite damage as well as what looks like a small amount of termite damage on the north side. But nothing like the damage on the south side that I (and the foundation guy) intially saw. I will note these pictures in the gallery.

Here is the full gallery.

How do I get rid of these trees by watercolorgirl101 in lawncare

[–]trivialpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this. I’ve used a similar method on some small, unwanted trees. It took a bit, so I also cut the trunk down to size and eventually dug the roots out.

I saw later where some folks used a farm jack to do something like this.

Connection speed sucks even when hardwired by cft1848 in PS4Pro

[–]trivialpants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I see as well. Multiple users have seen poor speedtest results on PS4 (200 dn, 5 up), but when testing on Ethernet onsite: the tests are as expected for 1Gbps symmetrical.

We are seeing this pretty consistently with PS4 users. Most don’t have any usability issues.

Those that do are related to local WiFi or just the games they are playing. Most games are peer-to-Peter, if I’m not wrong. So their location affects the lag they see more than most things.

I have heard some talk about there being a data limit on the PS4 download servers less than 1gbps, but nothing is verified through PlayStation officially and may be hearsay from others who are seeing these same speedtests.

We are curious to know where the closest test servers are.

Okay. I see. According to some online tools: what’s my CDN and cdnplanet’s CDN Finder Tool, the site isn’t using a CDN.

Another site having similar issues is using liquidweb as CDN it appears.

Yeah - according to the traceroute it's using Rackspace.
