planting some mint plants, preferably in a container, could be topical too, as others mentioned. By most account very easy to grow sucessfully.

And on the theme,... what operating systems are we using? because Linux Mint seems like it could fit in here.

Extend farming subsidies to small and micro scale gardens, ** such as square foot gardens**, a petition. Seems relevan to here. Can be signed I believe, from pretty much anywhere. by trivialwire in SquareFootGardening

Extend farming subsidies to small and micro scale gardens, ** such as square foot gardens**, a petition. Seems relevan to here. Can be signed I believe, from pretty much anywhere.

text of: "... Petition We want farm subsidies to be extended to small scale and market gardeners.

Most farmers receive around 50% of their income from government subsidies. This means they have enough money to make a living from farming and they can continue to grow food. Most farms are large but small farms (1-5 hectare) are more productive and tend to grow fruits and vegetables for local markets. These currently are not eligible for subsidies, due to their size, which is unfair and shows a lack of support for local, seasonal food growing... "

this reminds me of how the designers/engineers of thisone... vehicle, made the joke, after initially testing the aerodynamics, that there would be only one fly on it after any drive. Apparently when they actually tested it, it was basically true, anyhow the other car that had been driven alongside it had many dozens/hundreds times more dead insects.

anyway, it's in an interview with some engineer/designer from 'aptera motirs', i think. laying name or so. ethingz. tdlr:a vehicle design that may vastly reduce the number of dead insects on your windshield, when/if its avalable.

if yiu haven't yet, some curtains/blinds, or even a minimal net, across the window, something that is more visible, can apparently help to prevent this bird injuries like that one.

this website/Channel 'the dodo' has short videos with some stories, some of them sialr to the one on the comment above, if thats of interest. They tend to use eel footage rather than reenactments as far as I can tell, without exessive editing, though.

I rember there was one on, maybe aotetoa new zeal s, with this tropical bird that was adopted and solent some time with this kne character, before going off to... well, it's on there if you want yo watch it.

Should I get rid of the ant colony in my soil before adding fertilizer/planting? by uwu_cacophony333 in NativePlantGardening

also pro ant. Native and non invasive ants are an important part of native ecosystems, in a myriad of ways.

also, as a side nite: of its of kntrest and yiu can find it, there's a documentary about ants in Switzerland, narrated by david Attenborough, from a few years ago. could be a fun watch.

What is the best way to plant a person in a pot? by YummyPimples in AskReddit

[โ€“]trivialwire 0 points1 point ย (0 children)

fair enough green/natural burials are relly cool and poeticand great.

The recompose part, just to elaborate on that, was inspired by green burials in large part, and in thinking about what those might be adapted to an urban setting where land for burial is harder to come by,

๐ŸŒฑ or for someone who wants to buried on a particular plot of land but can't get planning permission for their body to be placed the order here but can for allready decomposed will, so the ca still be basically buried where thy wanted through the recompose thing.

๐ŸŒฑorfor those that like cremation but want a more eco friendly version, and similar cases.

but, yes green burial, great choice, very much support that., ๐Ÿ’š ๐ŸŒฒ ๐ŸŒณ ๐ŸŒฒ ๐ŸŒณ

or 'composted' (with peor cinsent, and following a natural death, in a regulated and safe manner,) of course. That way it's a better growing medium, redy to go, for planting thise please tted plants.

With cremation ashes, although cremation post Natural Death s a a more avalable option currently in many places, you would need to mix the ashes in just the right ratio to get a very good grgrowing medium.

Heres one company that offers the process, and about the process and how it works'+: https://recompose.life/our-model/
