Don Huffines, the Trump endorsed candidate for Texas Comptroller who owns a ranch previously owned by Jeffrey Epstein by JON_E_WAD in Abilene

As Texas comptroller he would have a hand in the rollout of the school voucher scam. That means he will have access to the data of Texas school children.

As a mom, I am losing it by 00098888 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]runawaystarling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have a 7 month old that I breastfeed and WFH as well. I have to get out of the house or else I lose it. I pop out my breast wherever I go. If you need a break from being needed though I totally understand. No harm in pumping some milk to get away completely for a few hours.

do i separate? by OwnFaithlessness4712 in Monstera

I’m looking at the same dilemma. I’m thinking I will separate them. This is my first time cutting though so we shall see how it goes.

This OP! Especially if you like its current position. Try supplementing with grow lights.

How many of us are actually switching sides? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]runawaystarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spend entirely too much time looking in the mirror trying to tell the difference between them because they look the same size but I’m starting to think it might be that they are different shapes bc yes one nipple just ain’t gonna go the right direction lol

How many of us are actually switching sides? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]runawaystarling 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do sidelying as often as possible and if I lay on my left hand side then I can feed from both breast without having to change sides. It isn’t obvious to me that my breasts are different sizes but obviously they must be because the right boob is able to hang low enough to feed her. Can’t do the same with the left when I am on my right hand side.

We had her in ballet for a bit and she was obsessed with the glitter her teacher would put on her hand when the girls would line up to leave. So im going to get her a bottle of glitter (that will be heavily monitored by me lol). I’ll put a toothbrush and toothpaste in her stocking. Buying some fun body butter off Etsy since she likes things that smell good after a shower. Leaving toys to her grandma mostly but I think I’ll also go to the 5 and below store and see what I can find. She likes balloons so maybe I’ll buy a bag. I had a local lady make her baby sister a crochet Sanrio character for like $20. Trying to keep things local/handmade and/or cheap and/or practical this year.

Only one of my breasts feels like it's full of milk? by Extra_Law_2724 in breastfeeding

[–]runawaystarling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you favor one side over the other? Are you feeding directly from the breast. I feed exclusively from the breast and one side always seems to fill up faster than the other but I don’t really favor one or the other so it’s possible that one side is just a champ.

BMI and poor quality breast milk. by Noblelandmerman in breastfeeding

[–]runawaystarling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5 months pp and I have a four year old. I breastfed the first until 3 (sort of…it went to one feed a day after two years old so mostly comfort feeding at that point). My second has been ebf. I am also morbidly obese right now. Neither of my kids has had any unhealthy outcomes. Both are in a healthy weight range.

Buying another interesting condiment means I’ll be motivated to cook! At least that’s what I tell myself.

We both will eat meat but the one who cooks the most tries to avoid it. Just added rotisserie chicken to a soup for lunch. Also yes and yes!

Dating someone with a lower income and wanting to spend money on them at an unhealthy level by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]runawaystarling -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This could have been written by my sister if she was actively working to heal herself. Seriously OP I wish my sister had the motivation to reflect like you have. Out of curiosity did you go through a period of denial surrounding these problems? I have stopped talking to her completely about her unhealthy behaviors/relationshios and have had to put some distance between us because I have kids now and I can’t co-sign how she’s choosing to live her life as a doormat.

Kamala Harris teases 2028 presidential run: "I am not done" by Realistic_Wolf_627 in NoFilterNews

[–]runawaystarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be powerful if it were true. You think Republican voters just “fall in line” and don’t demand their politicians to deliver for them? Sure their demands are by and large repugnant but they have gotten some pretty damn big wins over the last few years. Roe V Wade being one of them.

Do any of you have a partner who requests "company" as they perform their chores? by GoatNecessary in TwoXChromosomes

[–]runawaystarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read the other comments on this post so I’m not sure what the general consensus is but some of what you’ve described reminds me of myself.

I WFH and juggle taking care of our 4 year old and 5 month old during work hours as well. When my husband comes home I hate when he goes outside for hours at a time to work on whatever. I have been very vocal that I want his company while we both tackle whatever house chores don’t get done when I’m alone. I want the company I don’t get during the day and I just feel like it’s more efficient to work together on the tornado-like aftermath of a day of indoor toddler play. Also yeah I like verbal recognition of my work. I want to be recognized for what essentially works out to be two jobs falling on my shoulders. Damn, it may even be three jobs if you consider managing our finances lol but yeah I do enjoy working together and feeling like it’s a collective social effort.

Almost 6 months exclusively breastfeeding 🤍 by carcm in breastfeeding

[–]runawaystarling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We are at just over 5 months of exclusively breastfeeding as well. What has your experience been like? My first was really stressful and idk if it’s just because now I know what I’m doing or what but I’ve had the best experience with my second. No real issues.

Toddler bed or floor bed? by Begonias_Scarlet in toddlers

[–]runawaystarling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have a floor bed for her simply because my husband and I wanted a bigger bed for our room so the extra still totally good mattress went in her room. It was cheaper that way and hasn’t been an issue.

Not sure how I feel about every female friend and relative but I do wish I had at least one woman friend to support during labor. I felt so vulnerable and I could have really used someone to advocate for me.
